I showed up to this bar and was denied service solely because I had a service dog. I am a disabled veteran and need my service dog to be with me at all times for my disability. My protected rights under federal law ere broken and I was discriminated upon receiving service here because of my disability because it was "too busy of a night." It was indeed a busy night being after the Clovis Rodeo and we waited in line for about 15 minutes like everyone else waiting for people to leave so we could get in. Upon being next to go inside, one of the men (not sure if he was the owner or manager or employee as he never introduced himself to me) said he wasn't going to let me in due to it being busy and concerned about having the dog in there. I understood his worry but assured him I would never put myself, the dog, or other customers at risk. I told him it's agains the law to deny service because of a service dog. He then told me he was exercising his right to deny service to anyone for any reason. I told him that is correct, unless the sole reason was because of a service animal- I'm protected under federal and state laws for being able to enter any establishment with a service animal unless the dog is acting out of character and causing a disturbance to other customers. He told I could have an attorney contact his. He was very rude about it after I informed him that it was against the law. I understand the frustration but this man completely disregarded my federal law and wouldn't let me in because I had a disability and needed a dog. Would I have been denied if I was in a wheelchair and it was busy? A complaint will be filed with the Department of Justice and attorneys may be involved.
I do not recommend this place as they broke the law, were rude, and apparently discriminate against people with...

But the last time I was there ibrought a friend visitor from Bishop..itold him this place was cool n great atmoshere. He didn't know Clovis. Well a young guy bartender 86d me. He's young I really think that was the problem. I don't get out much but I tend to go to this place when I do. I don't act like everybody else I am me.. I am different..I dance different..I'm respectful..but I'm just different.. I'm afraid this young man doesn't respect that some of us aren't like him. I was wondering if he was maybe being prejudice against Mexican Americans since all this race stuff is going on in politics. I was extremely shocked n sadđ anyway he just walked up to my friend n I while in middle of a conversation jus sipping a beer..nuthin happened nuthin was goin on..it was all quiet n chill.. and he asked me to leave LOL it was around 5 or 6p.    Read moreThe bartender (Tera) took great care of us and we had a great time. My wife and I were doing a little Clovis bar hop. Atmosphere and staff were nice. For us penny pinchers it might be a little shocking to the wallet ($9 well vodka cran). Unfortunately as I get older money seems to be worth less and less, well drinks used to be 4-6 tops đ, 9 if it was a double, sure. Most of the locals appeared to be drinking draft beer, pay attention to what they're drinking that usually indicates what's on special or just what's...
