On The Edge Coffee House — Restaurant in Clovis

I thought it might be a good idea for my wife and I to take a nice little spin ride from North Fresno down the Clovis bike trail and stop in for some brunch and coffee. The girl at the counter told me it would be 20-25min wait for our food. We figured that is fine we would have coffee and tea to keep us occupied in the meantime. When she asked for my name and told me they would bring it to me when it was ready I let her know we had a table out front on the street. After a 15min wait I went back in to check on our coffee and tea. My Chai tea was ready but my wife's latte was not. It was brought out to our table a few minutes later. Her latte tasted like it had been steamed and foamed in an ashtray. We waited almost 35min for our food. When I went in to check on it was waiting behind the counter and had been there long enough that the scrambled eggs on my breakfast pita had begun to dry out and develop a crust on them. The girl behind the counter told me they couldn't find me. This after I told her where our table was when I paid for our food 35min ago and they knew where we were sitting to deliver my wife's latte about 15min prior. This was the first and only time we will visit here. If I could give a negative star review I honestly would. Do not waste...

Ordered tea my first time there and my wife ordered a mint coffee. The tea was absolutely scalding hot! It took more than 10 minutes of blowing it and stirring it to get it to safe drinking conditions (it had to be near boiling temperatures). It's ok and actually a good thing to have hot tea, but this was excessively hot and dangerous for consumption and to give to customers. Unfortunately my bad experience didn't end there. After more than 10 minutes of waiting for my blazing hot tea to cool off, my wife's coffee hadn't come out yet. We asked about it and they had forgotten to get it started! This would have been understandable because mistakes happen, but there wasn't anyone else ordering anything and not a single person had come in and ordered after us! The only reason I didn't give them a 1 star review is because they offered us a free pastry to apologize. Unfortunately a free pastry doesn't help when you have a burnt tongue...

Husband and I like their coffee. But my husband ordered 2 coffees from here , sat and waited for about 30 minutes while people came in and ordered theirs and walked out before him. One lady who came in seemed like she was friends with one lady working at the register there and got her coffee right after she ordered it while still talking to the worker. They never called his name. Well he finally got up to ask about it and the lady says "Oh im so sorry" and gets his 2 coffees that had been ready and just been sitting there in the back behind the counter . I would just suggest to watch them especially if you're in a hurry and make sure to ask every 5...
