I would give it 3.5 stars honestly.
We seated ourselves and were warmly greeted. One beer menu + 3 food menus were handed to the three of us. I think there was some confusion on who was taking our order as 3 different people asked us within minutes of each other what drinks we wanted and if we were ready to order. We had to ask for additional time as the beer menu is extensive and there are a lot of options on the food menu. No wine/cocktail list available per our waiter. Bummed as I am not a beer drinker.
Our waiter recommended a beer to my grandfather in relation to his favorite (Yuengling) and they were pleased with that. My grandparents each ordered the Poblano Pepper Burger and I ordered the Asian Fried Cauliflower.
While we waited for our food, the grandparents sipped their delightful draft beers, I enjoyed my water (haha) and took in the surroundings. So much to look at and excellent people watching! Prime location in Cocoa Beach.
I will agree with my grandparents- it was ridiculously loud. For 4:30pm on a Friday- we had to shout to one another to hear. That is a good sign of a full house- but also a little alarming for anyone who can't handle loud background noise. We loved all of the interior decor- it's own unique take and mix of history incorporated to the design. I especially admired the exterior murals/art!
Our food finally arrived and to be completely transparent we were not impressed. My cauliflower was cold and just okay in taste, and my grandparents burgers were plated well, but did not have the side of house pickles that were advertised. When I asked our waiter he said he would check with the kitchen. He reported back that they had ran out earlier in the day. There was no mention of a substitute side of any kind. Disappointing. $9.00 for a non stand out burger seemed a bit steep for them, and I would have to agree; as it ended up served as a la carte. My grandma ended up ordering French fries to fill her appetite as a premium side, and they were hot and delicious! Our total for 3 draft beers, two burgers, 1 French fry, and fried cauliflower with tip was $59.00.
The outdoor patio/beer garden is absolutely lovely and would be so enjoyable on a warm day! There are games and plenty of oversized adirondack chairs to lounge in. A storm was approaching so we cut our visit short- but looking forward to giving 4th St a second chance in the future.
I understand they are working the kinks out and getting familiar with everything... I just hope they realize that customer service and communication goes a long way. Will update review on...
Read moreIn preparing for a road trip from south Florida, we mapped out vegan and dog friendly lunch spots (thank you Bring Fido and Happy Cow) to each hotel stop. Cocoa Beach had mostly great reviews, beers on tap, an outdoor beer garden and pretty much the middle of the first leg. So as you walk up to the entrance, there is a sign that reads something like, if you’re in a hurry, please come back another day when you can enjoy the vibe. So we already know to be patient. Luckily I had studied the menu and knew what we wanted from beer to app to main to dessert. We sat down in the beer garden where dogs are welcome. It is a very cool place. I placed my small dog in my lap sitting a distance away from the table. After waiting for a while, which we were forewarned, our server came over. I asked for water bowl for the dogs (we are spoiled in the Florida Keys bc they give the dogs a bowl of water before us). I placed the entire order- beer, appetizer and main dish. No dessert yet. There was bird poo on the table, not wiped off, but we sat on the far end away from it. Didn’t see anyone wiping tables. I was told dogs aren’t allowed on laps. I said no problem. I was trying to keep the dogs calm. Kids kept running around which was scaring him. No biggie. All food came out, at once as requested, minus the side (the yucca fries were forgotten). So by the time she came around again, I asked for the fries to be boxed to go. And I didn’t want to order the vegan ice cream because as I said we needed to get back on the route. My cauliflower tacos (a little sweet) and the yucca fries were delicious. The cauliflower tacos had great sauce so combined with the cinnamon and corn, it was a burst of flavor explosion. My husband is used to fish tacos in the Florida Keys so he said his was mediocre- missing flavor. He wasn’t sure it was mahi. We didn’t care for the cauliflower appetizer as we expected something more like a deep fried bite, which r was a sauted cauliflower in sauce. Despite the bird poo on the table and my husband’s criticism of the fish, I would go back with more time on our hands. The milkshakes looked incredible. Vegan and dog friendly (for now)...
Read moreWe stopped in for dinner with a fairly large group—definitely more than your typical party of two, but not quite a family reunion. Despite the fact that the place was bustling with activity and clearly operating at near capacity, the staff handled everything with impressive efficiency and managed to get us seated and served in a relatively short amount of time. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is that busy—it means people love it—and even with the crowd, the service was attentive and friendly.
The menu was expansive and offered a wide variety of tempting choices, which made it pretty difficult for all of us to decide what to order. In the end, every single person in our group was happy with their meal. Personally, I ordered the blackened Blue burger, and it was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning and heat.
Now, a word of warning that is very important for anyone planning to visit: be extremely cautious about where you park. The restaurant’s own parking lot is, unfortunately, quite small and fills up quickly, especially during peak dining hours. It might be tempting to park in one of the nearby business lots—especially if they appear to be closed and empty—but please resist the urge. Those lots are strictly monitored, even outside of normal business hours, and they have active contracts with towing companies that patrol regularly.
Our own experience with this nearly turned into a disaster: my in-laws parked in one of those nearby lots, thinking it would be fine. We noticed a tow truck pulling up just in time and flagged it down—but not before the driver had already hooked up the vehicle. While we were spared the full towing ordeal, we still had to pay a hefty $150 to have the car released on the spot. Not exactly the kind of surprise expense you want with your burger.
All in all, a fantastic dining experience with great food and solid service—but be extra careful about parking. It’s not...
