One star is all they get. We had a large group from our beach outing and we decided to go to Denny's. This being 2 minutes from where we were it was the easiest choice. Now I will say we were a large group so I get tables of this size are harder than your family of 4. We ordered our drinks and then our food. By the time the food order was done my drink was empty. The drink being water I would assume they could refill it easily. No. I got my food 30-45 minutes later with no refill nor could I seem to find our waitress to ask for one. Now you think when I got my food I would have asked for it then but my order was wrong and partially mixed up with the friend next to me so I was working on that. So by the time we swapped the items on our plates to fix this she brought out my bread which was not what I order and said it was. I told her it was not and she rudely agreed and said she would get the correct bread. It was at this time we noticed our orders were cold or not cooked. But as I stated before we were at the beach all day. We were hungry so we ate it as not wanting to wait another 30-45 min on our food. At this point we got a refill of which was wrong for some or gone in 30 seconds for others. We did not get another after that. I ate my food and got my bill, but still did not get all my food. She then said why did I not say so and got it. It too was cold and they just made it. Needless to say we were upset. We flagged a manager and told them about our issues. She agreed to give us a discount as we did eat it. Well all but the person who got raw chicken though she still only got a discount. She also tells us the cook there is a problem but for a longer story than I wish to type they keep him. Now I give one star as the manager at least heard us out and did something. But I will never eat at that location again as when 10 of 13 plates were cold and wrong that says something. Next time I plan to go to coco beach I will avoid this place like the plague as when I got home I now am feeling a bit ill in the stomach. So eat at...
Read moreHonestly during COVID this wasn't a great place, but they've really improved a lot! Service was fast, attentive, friendly, and accurate. I've never seen staff be grumpy, they're always cheerful. Food was cooked perfectly. The kitchen staff puts out a consistently good breakfast night and day (that's all I order). For $5.99 you can ot beat the original Grand Slam. It's a huge sign on the front window! They e had this for a long time so I'm getting it while the getting is good. Menu price is over $13, so a huge savings! And, they give you a discount on top of that for AARP, military, etc. The 55+ original Grand slam price is $7.99 so still a good deal if they ever revert. I've never been overcharged, I've had only super positive experiences here. After eating the pancakes at Merritt Island Pancake house (I used to be a fan), Denny's buttermilk pancakes are way, way better. Way cheaper, always light and fluffy and I need my buttermilk pancakes!!! Also, so many restaurants have gone to margarine (cheap margarine), I'm pretty sure Denny's uses real butter. The syrup is excellent too. Last time I ordered the original Grand slam, scrambled eggs, I'm pretty sure I got about 4 eggs worth. With many negative reviews here I felt I had to stand up for them. They're the only other place open 24/7 beside Waffle House. I love I can eat at 4 am or 11 pm. And honestly, I really can't stand the margarine waffle house uses and waffle house prices are so high. I don't really understand why Waffle Hose is packed and Denny's is not late at night. Denny's is by far the better product. Also, during regular hours, Merritt Island Pancake prices are also so high and they close in the afternoon. So, I 100% recommend this Denny's for your breakfast fix day or night. The music was rocking the other day and I loved it. The only non 5-star is ambiance and that is because the bathrooms could use makeover. Its not dirty, just old. And I really need a purse hook on the stall door too. Other than that, it's a...
Read moreThe front door appears to have at least 7 gunshot holes and there's a sign on the front door letting patrons know that they are short staffed and the wait will be long. Ok...no problem. The ONE server in there (Shyla) is working her tables , taking orders, delivering the food all by herself. Her service was great considering. The manager was walking around refilling straws and the condiments. She finally took a table but still managed to not help much. There were some young men that ordered their meals to go. None of it was correct. When they pointed it out to Shyla, she immediately moved to get the errors corrected. The cooks gave her the hardest time as if she was the one who made the errors. She produced the ticket and they finally got it right. So back to my table, my husband ordered the Super Slam. He didn't initially get his pancakes or sausages. I had a skillet meal and the toast was left off my order. No big deal, except I was finished with my meal before my husband got his sausage and pancakes and I my toast. Plus the skillet meal looked like a kids meal. My last "complaint" is about the NASTY bathroom. Had I gone in there first, we would have eaten elsewhere. When I brought it to the manager's attention, she brushed me off. There was a toilet full of #2 in one stall and the other one had urine a lots of paper in it. Absolutely disgusting. Personally, I think the non helpful manager should have stopped what she was doing or at least made an attempt to tend to the rest room. We will not be returning. Oh! And if you want a shake or a smoothie, their machine is broken. If you want grits...go elsewhere...because "since COVID" they don't serve grits anymore. Just make it easy on yourself and order the Super Slam because it won't take much effort on the cook's behalf to prepare it...AND! Don't expect all of your meat to arrive at...
