Our family just got some ice cream at the Cocoa Beach south location. What an absolute joke. We needed to get a small portion for our son. The size we got was a little larger than a golf ball, not even a full scoop - price $8.00 - seriously ???? We got two scoops of raspberry ice cream in a dish and a shake - $19 without the mandatory tip. The kick in the backside is when you pay there's a mandatory tip of at least 15%. That's garbage. I'm pretty sure that's an illegal business practice. If your service stinks then you shouldn't get a tip PERIOD. As a consumer it's my discretion of what your service is worth. On top of that the ice cream was fair at best. I've already read the ridiculous response to one complaint: blah, blah blah it affects our inventory. Give me a break. If you go to this place for lack luster ice cream be prepared to pay an exorbitant amount of money and open your wallet VERY wide. What an absolutely crummy business model.
Your response is laughable. Apparently you must have another customer's order on your "audio/video" if there even is one. If that's the case what was the woman wearing who received the vegan order? Provide me with proof you have the correct person and order because I don't think you do. There's no way the vegan order was "towering over a small cup", that's a blatant lie. You need to recheck it. Not sure what you're looking at. The tiny "scoop" we got didn't even cover the bottom of the cup. It shouldn't be too hard for you to spot a 3/4 empty cup coming over the counter on your "audio/video". Perhaps you may want to question your female employee who gave us the tiny portion and ask her about the conversation she had with my wife on why she was charging us $8.00 for such a tiny portion. If the serving was "towering over a small 8oz cup" like your response said why would that conversation be necessary? Did you see or hear that on your "audio/video"? You should have if you actually listened to it. Obviously you didn't or it doesn't exist otherwise you'd be offering an apology instead of saying it's an unwarranted review. As for your tablet you might want to recheck that as well. We tried repeatedly pressing the custom button and it wouldn't allow us to put zero so we were shafted with paying 15%, so another lie. Do you really think we'd voluntarily leave a 15% tip when we were just ripped off for an $8 golf ball size scoop? Again, since you have "audio/video" what was the person wearing who paid for the order and got shafted into leaving a tip? You either didn't review the audio/video or you don't have it, which means your response is yet another lie. You wrote you have to protect your employees - from what, the truth ? What exactly is your "Go Big or Go Home" anyway? Seems like a random obscure statement as it certainly didn't apply to the vegan ice cream. This is very much a warranted review . You obviously don't like the review and you shouldn't because if this is the way you run your business you won't be in business for long, but unfortunately for you it's the truth. There's absolutely no reason for me to make it up. We'd much rather just enjoy some ice cream and not be burdened with writing a review. Since we're walking distance to your store I'd have much preferred a positive experience and the opportunity to support a small business. In the time the rest of the family ate their ice cream and half the other customers had theirs and his milkshake wasn't even started. We had to go in and complain and be noticeably loud and upset for the workers to start the milkshake. They seemed to not know how to run the place during busy hours. Admittedly, it was busy and the workers didnt seem very familiar with the menu or how to make everything. But 15 + minutes to wait for a milkshake is unreasonable. The whole process was just awful. And the guys behind the counter didnt seem to have any idea what they were doing having to stop and search their phones for directions and keep looking at the pictures on the menu. Oh.
