Favorite Skyline of anyone I talk to. Been open for many years under same owner. This skyline has a very laid back atmosphere. There are convenient coat/purse hanging hooks throughout entire restaurant. Including right on sides of most booths. That means take your coat off and stay a while. The food ranges in price. There’s a vast range of items not even listed on the menu at this skyline like small fries (small cheese fries, small chili cheese fries) regular and small skyline dip(!) baked potatoes either made with butter sour cream cheese or you can get a potato 5 way! Another gem of this skyline is the cheesecake, carrot cake and endless chocolate cake provided by the west sides own “Gary’s Cheesecake”. Also available are thick delicious homemade style cookies and brownies. A keurig awaits your coffee “made to” order.Traditional coffee creamer, sweeteners and milk available for “doctoring” to taste. The staff is a collection of characters that run the gamut of “one of a kind”; each brings something equally necessary but so completely different than the other which makes for a well-rounded group of worldly, intelligent hard workers willing to step outside of their position when need arises. This brings us full-circle back to why this is everyone’s favorite skyline*, because it is run by a group of knowledgeable people who genuinely care about food quality and freshness along with the unequivocally positive experience of each guests visit. All persons are welcomed without judgement nor preconceived notions from fellow patrons or staff to visit and discover the magic that is Skyline Chili Groesbeck. We are Colerain!! And this skyline is the hub of life long Colerain (and surrounding area) natives. Guests to the area always welcomed;)It offers a safe, almost home-like atmosphere to let your hair down(unless you work there), relax, wear a bib if you want-who cares? Nobody wants Chili stains on their new winter fleece or soft, cotton ring spun most comfy t-shirt ever. So come as you are and leave as you are-except happily fed with Cincinnati’s favorite comfort food:) *”favorite skyline” phrase derived using only anecdotal evidence. No controlled double blind taste tests conducted; that said if anyone has any ideas to conduct such a test and decides to act on the idea let us know...
Read moreI regularly come to this location when I am in the area and hardly ever have an issue. Today seems to be the anomaly. I entered the store to do a takeout order. I was greeted by the staff and told it would be just a moment. No biggie. Two other patrons entered the skyline and chose to do dine-in. For one reason or another, their orders were taken before mine and one of them even received their food before me. This honestly would not have been a big deal if their was one person running counter and another handling tables, but it was the same person for both. I understand it may have been a lot for one person and honestly do not mind waiting but it did feel rude to be blantly ignored and have others acknowledge and served before me. I would’ve even been fine with them getting their food before me if at the very least my...
Read moreThe best skyline in the tristage area. The most friendly staff around. The food is awesome! The proportions of food served is way more than any other skyline they are not afraid to serve it up. I have eaten at many skylines over my life here in the cincinnati area and this location hands down is the best. I drive 7 miles from my home to this location when i want skyline. I could go to the delhi, price hill, westernhills or bridgetown locations but i avoid them at all costs. The crew at delhi is young loud and obnoxious. Price hill gives out very small portions. Westerhills food especially the cheese coneys suck the bread turns into a ball of dough while eating. Bridgetown its to damn dark inside the resturant it reminds me of being in a bar. This skyline location will receive my business anytime its...
