We bought a queen size bed frame from the showroom floor, our salesperson was helpful in finding us something we really liked but we weren’t made aware that usually floor items come as is and it was never disclosed to us. After picking up the frame we began unpackaging and attempted to put it together. The frame DID NOT come with instructions, proper tools and we were missing hardware. My boyfriend called to speak to an employee and all they kept saying was “I have no idea what screws would even fit the slats if they aren’t wood screws” and “idk man, I just don’t know it doesn’t make sense” “You can come check out the extra screws we have in the back and see if they’d fit” It’s almost as if they guessed what tools and screws worked for this frame because they didn’t even fit on the screws provided to be able to screw them in properly or tight enough. We had to play mix and match with extra screws we thankfully had at home because they didn’t give us everything we needed. We had to use an abundance of our own screws and our own allen/hex key to tighten the slats to hold the box spring and mattress. Just know that if you buy any show room items, they will not notify you it may be missing pieces and not come with adequate tools or instructions and they won’t have any information on the items to provide any additional help. As a business owner myself I know it's all about relationships when customers have many choices for anything they want so you have to stand out, long story short we had Christy Gundrum as our sales associate, we bought furnitue for our new house only to have the closing streatched out for several months (5). Mrs. Gundrum was more then understanding and always was concerned about getting the furniture to us when we needed it, she contaced us to find out how things were going, and did so on a consistant and timely basis, Christy made sure we we would get our new furnitue on time for our big move. The experience was great but the service and price for the quality furnitur was second to none. I cannot express how great the service was from sales to delivery, I'm a loayal customer at Furniture Fair.
Final thing: we had a king size installed in the master bedroom and after a couple of nights my wife really felt like a king put us too far apart as they are HUGE, I though it was a long shot & asked Christy if there was any way to switch my king for same exact style queen bed as it would help my marriage (LOL), because after 20 years of marriage sleeping in a queen it felt too distant in a king bed. Update: Next week we are set for delivery switch for a queen to replace our king, now that's is awsome service. Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND. TOOK MY MONEY AND GAVE AWAY MY COUCH. I put money down on a couch that was being held until my move date. On my move date I went into the store and paid off the couch. Before my movers arrived, I asked to see my couch so I could see the condition before it left the store. The couch was gone. Some how it had been sent to the wrong person, despite all of the furniture being labeled with names. The store rep gave me the option to drive to myself KY to the couch from a different store. I had to wait an extra week without my furniture until it was able to be delivered. On the day of delivery, the cords (reclining couch) were not brought with the couch and so I still was not able to use the couch properly. The next day, the cords were left in my mailbox and I had to complete the installation of a heavy couch on my own due to furniture fair once again not doing there job correctly. Throughout this process I have been told by the manager, Nick, that I would not be given any discounts for the inconvenience (even though I hadn’t asked for one at that time) and phone calls were not returned to me as stated. In the past 8 months I have spent close to $4,000 at furniture fair in addition to bringing in new customers. This is my first bad experience and will be the end of my business at this location.
