Unfortunately I had an injury and my flight was, of course, at gate 3. I could not find a food map of the terminal so I took a risk and started walking while checking out the food options along the way. I reached my gate without seeing anything I wanted and figured I would get Chinese since I was not walking back on crutches.
Pros: Food was hot. Fried rice was not "awesome," but compared to veggies was acceptable and made without meat-- a plus! Customer Service was decent. I was offered the option of doing a vegetarian egg roll as part of the Pick 2 because there was no tofu (I opted not to as I did the fried rice).
Cons: Tofu is listed but was not available. Vegetable option was somewhat bland and veggies were in the "limp" territory. Whatever sauce they use was not impressive and started to firm up as it cooled down. A bit off-putting. For the price of the meal, I would have liked a plant-protein source. My meal ended up being mainly rice as I ended up not finishing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called to ask about an item that I believe was left on their counter (70% sure of it). I explained this to the first guy that answered the phone and he snapped back with a curt response, "what do you want, we are busy". I explained again and he said, "I won't tell you, you have to talk to the manager", slams the phone down and screams for someone(?). A lady picks up the phone and I explain again specifically noting it was on Wed. She says, "nothing today" I say, no ma'am it was on Wed. She says she hasn't found anything today, I said it was on Wed not today. Her reply was, "OOOoooohhhhh, No!" and abruptly hangs up on me. Absolutely bananas. I pass through ATL often and have eaten there, literally, dozens of times. The food is on the very low-end of average, at best. But, it is quick and reasonably priced for an airport. What it is not, is good enough to have terrible interactions with people and expect they will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYes, the Sesame Chicken looks appetizing. Yes, the Spring Rolls look yummy too! But do yourself a favor and skip this one if you value your health and carbohydrates intake. The Chicken is mushy, not crispy and way too sweet. I wouldnāt actually call it floured chicken, just flour sugar and orange color with some tiny bits of chicken inside... probably some of the bites were just flour! Did I say it was way too sweet? Definitely skip this one if youāre type 2 diabetic. Oh, and the Sesame seeds are strategically poored over the top pieces on the tray so they look yummy, but Iād say the actual content is likely less than 2%. The Lo Mein was not bad and low on sodium, same as the Spring Roll, although it likely was from the previous day because it was also mushy, not crispy at all. All in all an awful experience and a reminder these Asian treat cravings are better saved for a better place like P.F....
