I recently had the misfortune of experiencing the absolute worst service at the Caribou Coffee in Concourse E at Atlanta Airport, and I felt compelled to share my experience.
First off, when I asked the barista if the oat milk for the shaken espresso was gluten-free, she responded with a nonchalant “I don’t know.” Fair enough, but when I requested that she check, I was met with the baffling revelation that they don’t have any labels. Really? In this day and age, this is simply unacceptable for a food and beverage establishment.
When I opted to have the shaken espresso without the oat milk, I was rudely told to choose another type of milk. At this point, I was done. I expressed my dislike for the other milk options, and since regular milk wasn’t available, I declined altogether. The barista then had the audacity to inform me that it wouldn’t be a shaken espresso without milk, as if that were my problem.
So, I settled for a simple espresso with caramel instead. When I finally received my order, it was a sugar bomb that could have easily sent a large horse into a coma. Seriously, who needs that much caramel in a single drink? To make matters worse they filled my cup halfway to make a statement about me refusing the oat milk that could contain gluten.
To top it all off, the fact that this was the ONLY coffee shop in the concourse left me feeling trapped with no alternative options. Overall, my experience at Caribou Coffee was nothing short of miserable. I left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied, and I certainly won’t be returning to ANY caribou if this is the kind of service they offer. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...
Read moreUPDATE Following my initial experience at Caribou Coffee in Terminal D at ATL, I reached out to their guest relations team as requested and received a prompt and considerate response. They sincerely apologized for the disappointing service and assured me that my feedback would be shared with the leadership team to prevent such incidents in the future.
Additionally, they generously offered me an e-gift card to make up for the unpleasant experience, which I greatly appreciate. This gesture has restored some of my confidence in Caribou Coffee's commitment to customer satisfaction.
While my experience at the Terminal D location was far from ideal, their swift and thoughtful response shows a dedication to improving their service. I will give Caribou Coffee another chance in the future, hoping for a much better experience. For that reason, I'm changing my rating to 3 star. I had an awful experience at Caribou Coffee in Terminal D. Despite their sign saying they’re open until 11:30 PM, when I arrived at 10:00 PM, the two workers there wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge me properly. They didn’t get up from their seats and just sarcastically told me all they had was hot coffee and water. When I inquired about other drinks on the menu, I was abruptly told, “No, just hot coffee and water, that’s all you get.” Their dismissive and rude attitude was shocking. I will never consider visiting this location again. Horrible...
Read moreProviding feedback from a management perspective. Your staff's customer service here in terminal E at the airport in ATL is very poor. First and foremost I ordered 4 items. The interesting character employee at the pick up window is very rude! Can't believe someone hired her. I was tempted to go at it with her instead I kindly requested a refund for the item she made. Then at that moment I realized I did not receive my bakery item. Oh I know why! Because the staff is busy having inappropriate conversations at work. Worst Caribou Coffee I have ever visited. Suggestions: utilize the customer name instead of calling out the item, apparently there is a language barrier. Train staff for a positive service recovery response instead of "I said &$^%_
