Disgusting. They wouldn’t pass health inspection.
I mean, the smoothie wasn’t bad (you could just make one at home tho…fruit, sugar, cream) but their cleanliness and friendliness were ZERO. I was one of only two customers, 7 am on a Saturday, concourse B. Ordered a ‘maui mango’ smoothie from a very angry employee (angry from previous customer, she seemed to hate her job. I hope she finds something better for herself. Until then she needs to stop taking out her anger on anyone who approaches her counter) and the other angry employee went to make it.
She used a blender that hadn’t been cleaned from the previous smoothie (some had dried to the edges, it stayed even while she blended mine in it).
Guess I had the privilege of receiving unknown ingredients from whatever was in that last drink.
Yay.
She also took the other blender and poured whatever was leftover in the bottom of it into the blender she used for my drink. Whatever it was, it was red; if it had once been a smoothie then it had been left out long enough to melt into the watery liquid I saw. She added my ingredients by hand (NO GLOVES) and dropped one strawberry onto a part of the counter that wasn’t food prep. It was clearly dirty and there were packages and boxes on it. The same kinds of packages were on the floor…so idk if they picked up some of them from the floor and put them on the counter but I sure hope not because she plucked that strawberry right up from that dirty, speckled countertop and threw it back into the blender….
I recieved a drink where the outside was sticky with strawberry because she didn’t use gloves or wash her hands (before or after) and the inside was full of who knows how much bacteria from the unwashed blenders and other stuff. Their kitchen was decently dirty (I wouldn’t eat there but it wasn’t the worst case I’ve seen) and their countertop hadn’t been wiped for a while.
I did not drink most of the smoothie. I did, however, try it because I was curious and reckless after my long flight with no food. I’m not dead...
Read moreNot sure exactly where to start, but PATHETIC would be an accurate adjective to describe my experience this morning at the location in terminal B next to B9. I arrived at 8:05 and the metal gate was still closed, although they were supposed to open at 8am. A young man was out front setting up the line markers so that people knew where to enter. I’m not sure at what pace he was working, but it was less than slow. It’s almost as if he was trying to get us to leave. Once he completed that task, he went to the back and visited with his co-worker and neither acted interested to open the metal cage so we could order. At 8:15, he finally decided to casually walk back out front and open the metal gate and attempt to open for business over 15 minutes later. During this ridiculous drawn out process, a gentleman in line left because he had been waiting around since 7 to get a healthy option and finally just gave up! Once they were finally open, it appeared by the counter that nothing had been cleaned from the night before!!! I questioned why I would even place an order! Once they finally decided to take orders, the young lady said they aren’t making crepes...only smoothies! Nevertheless, I’ve had freshens many times in ATL airport, but my experience at B9 will possible deter me from ever doing business with them again!
Customer service was worse...
Read moreI ordered a large mango and pineapple smoothie, I don't remember the menu name but it was just mango and pineapple. The ladies working there asked twice what I wanted and i told them the same thing both times. After ordering and paying, one of them tells me they're out of pineapple so what other fruit do I want instead. I change my order to a Maui mango, the one with strawberry and banana. After waiting a very long time and in a line where the workers seemed to know the other customers and spending a long time of them not working, just talking to the girls in front of me in line, making jokes and conversation, one of the ladies working finally made my smoothie. She handed it to me and it was a regular not a large. I said I had ordered a large and she said "oh you wanted a large?" And just poured the regular smoothie into a large cup and added the excess from the blender. There was still almost two inches of empty space at the top of the cup. It costed ten dollars. It tasted pretty good but it would have been nice to get an actual large like I paid for and to not have waited as long. Would have complained then but I just didn't want to spend even more time in that line when I have to be at my gate...
