TLDR: Delicious food, friendly service, stylish decor.
We (party of two) arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday. The restaurant is on the upper level and shares escalators/an elevator with the Delta Sky Club; though, marked signs advertise the restaurant more prominently. We had Delta meal vouchers to use and the hostess kindly informed us that they accepted said vouchers.
The restaurant is pretty large and spacious, with a bar area as well as table and plush-bench seating. It was at about 40% capacity when we went. The space is decorated in a traditional Chinese fashion with large characters on the wall saying “Atlanta” in Chinese. We were not all that hungry, so we informed our waitress that we would begin with drinks and do food a little later, to which she replied with a perfectly fine. Throughout our meal our waitress, Brett, was attentive, kind, and friendly. Props to her.
We ordered a Strawberry Cucumber Limeade Refresher drink and the Singapore Street Noodles and Chang’s Chicken (with Lo Mein) for our food. The limeade was cool, refreshing, and delicious. It was a bit on the sour side upon first sip, but eventually smoothed out. The Singapore Street Noodles were light, savory, and delicious. Combined with the chili paste made for an absolutely perfect dish. The shrimp inside was amazingly tender. The Chang’s Chicken was fried lightly; as a result, the batter was satisfyingly crisp and not at all too flour-y. The chicken itself was tender, and the sauce was sweet with just a little punch of spice. Dipping it in hot mustard was just the perfect balance. The side of lo mein (a surcharge of 4 dollars, I think) was savory, moist, and well cooked.
The check was given to us with a QR code on it to allow for mobile payment (no app download required). As we were looking to redeem a meal voucher, our waitress Brett was very accommodating in assisting us; she plugged in the voucher on the POS computer and printed an updated check for us.
Overall, the food was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely recommend the restaurant and service to anybody with enough time to spare in the airport. If I had to give feedback, I would ask for some greens in the lo mein and maybe some other flavors in the chicken; take that with a grain of salt because those are already...
Read moreThe food was ok but my experience was one i truly will never forget. I never felt so bad ordering food anywhere. Im not sure if her name is Keisha, but thats what came over on the server receipt i got as uploaded. This lady from the start was very impolite and unfriendly, i get that people have bad days, but this was not that. She was just terrible, and i work in the service industry so i always try to treat people in the industry as Id like someone to treat me, so its not like I approached this lady in bad spirit. The first thing this lady said to me was “u got a name” , but im not from atl so i just figured maybe it was a local thing, anyways i asked how long the fried rice typically takes and made the order, n that exchange too was just very stern. But what really got me so embarrassed and shaken up was when I asked for a cup of water (mind u i was waiting there for the order for a lil while) but the lady literally said no, and explicitly said i tip zero so no water for me. just make sure i heard right, i asked the other employee to clarify if thats what she said, but fret not, because just incase i was wondering or if i didn’t understand the first time,!she came back with the same thing, saying and i quote “you not gon have me working for free” . I was beyond embarrassed. The thing is i always tip, even if the service isnt as great as id like, but i tip cash, for more reasons than one. I was so shaken up and taken aback, i was literally shaken. I hate confrontation so i didnt even make a scene, i just asked the other lady for the water and gave her the tip instead. But thinking back right now, I wish I had just asked for a refund, that kind of behavior should be unacceptable, and its the fact that she had the nerve to say it more than once, and infront of others too. TRULY TRULY...
Read moreThis PF Chang's Deserves 5 Stars
I don't often leave a 5-star review for a chain restaurant, but my dining experience at this PF Chang's deserves some praise.
While searching my phone for something somewhat quick and healthy, during my 2-hr layover, I walked by a PF Chang's. I'm familiar with their menu and knew I had landed in the right place.
To start, I was greeted by friendly staff at the door and was guided to a spacious window seat overlooking the tarmac. Because this PF Chang's is slightly elevated above the rest of the airport, this was, to my surprise, a really nice view. I was entertained by watching the different vehicles transporting suitcases and other airport matter.
Soon after I was seated, my server arrived. His timeliness was somewhat surprise because there were many other patrons dining at the time of my arrival. He was very friendly and provided the perfect amount of attentiveness. I ordered the Wonton Soup and Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps and it came out timely. I'd like to emphasize how important this is for patrons who need to grab a quick bite between flights.
Due to the combination of a tasty meal with not only friendly but also timely service I'm rating this PF Chang's location 5/5 stars. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite between flights!
Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a picture of my meal (I was really really hungry), but attached is a picture...
