We ordered the brisket tacos and steak fajitas a little before 9 pm. Our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The corn tortillas for the brisket tacos werent cooked all the way, they were really doughy. When I touched them they were mushy. I gave my friend one of my flour tortillas to eat her second taco. My veggies were crunchy and had the skin left on the onions. Our waitress dropped our food and didn’t come back to our table until we were ready for the check.
When asked how our meal was, we advised the above comments. She advised the tortillas were soggy because of the sauce. The tacos didn’t have any sauce on them unless they were supposed to have it, in which case we didn’t receive. She seemed displeased with our opinions and snatched the brisket tacos and my sour cream/ cheese plate as well as my rice and beans.
I assume a manager (black shirt older man) stopped by to speak to us. We explained again our comments above and were told we should have immediately told our server the food wasn’t good. After we explained we did speak to her the second she came back to our table, albeit it 20 minutes later. He suggested we should have flagged down any waiter to let them know. He then told that the food was cooked properly. And dismissed our concerns. He comped the brisket tacos. I paid for my fajitas after asking for my sour cream/ cheese and rice and beans back.
I would suggest not coming to this location near closing time. We’ve been to several different la hacienda locations always enjoyed our food.
Never once was an apology, or a remake suggested. We weren’t looking for a free dinner. We know how la hacienda food should taste and wanted to let them know the quality of food was...
Read moreI am giving La Hacienda Ranch a 5-star because this is about as good as you get for Tex-Mex in the Colleyville/Euless/Bedford/ N Richland Hills area. If La Hacienda was in San Diego it might struggle because people there want the Baja Mexico flavors.
But back to an option we have here in this area.
First of all, I almost never order a margarita in mexican restaurants because it often tastes like you are drinking pure sugar and very low quality taquilla. I tempted myself to order their special margarita and found it very good. I did ask the bartender to "go light on sweetners" but it was so good I ordered a 2nd one.
The wine list is very limited, but understand not many customers in this type of place want to order good wine. Sorry for my wife, but she rarely complains about wine quality.
I wish they had good chile rellenos, but the steak salad I ordered might have been one of the best I have ever tasted. I did add their spicy salsa and cilantro, but honestly, even in San Diego I haven't had this good of salad.
To improve the restaurant might decide to include carne asada burritos and chile rellenos.
We sat in a booth and it was comfortable. Initially they put us back in the corner booth by the entrance to the bathrooms, but fortunately we were early and we could move to a 6-person booth in the mid-restaurant section.
We are putting La Hacienda in our regular...

La Hacienda Ranch in Colleyville, Texas, is like walking into a Tex-Mex fever dream where the cowboy hats are big, the flavors are bigger, and the margaritas are basically memory-erasers in a glass.
Start your meal with the queso or guacamole — or if you’re like me and plagued by indecision, just get both. These creamy starters paired with the fresh, thin tortilla chips are the perfect way to line your stomach, which you’ll want to do because the house rocks margaritas are so smooth you might forget your own name, let alone your dinner order. In fact, they’ve got a couple of these margaritas with a “three-per-person” limit, which is their polite way of saying, “We don’t want you face down in a bowl of chips by 8 p.m.”
For the main event, go with the brisket tacos on house-made corn tortillas. These beauties are packed with smoky, beefy goodness and a touch of avocado that’ll make you go, “Oh yeah, that’s the stuff.” Add some ranchero beans and rice, and you’re in for a full Tex-Mex fiesta on a plate.
La Hacienda Ranch is perfect for special occasions — birthdays, anniversaries, surviving another workweek — or just a great Friday night meal where you can leave full, happy, and with just enough memory left to find your car in the...
