UPDATE 7/2018: Will never return to this location. Decided to give this place one more chance, given our last few encounters here were very sub-par. My wife and I did not even taste the food. We both ordered a large dac biet. When it arrived, it had no tripe, no tendon, and about 2 spoons worth of meat. In a LARGE. Right there, the bowl was not as it should be. When I asked our server about it, he told me that that is how the owners portion, and that the true value of pho is the broth. I won't totally disagree with that, but I did not pay almost $10 for broth; I also wanted everything else that was supposed to be in the bowl. After he left, my wife and I discussed it, and we determined that what we received was not worth our money, especially with it being incorrect (missing items). We asked for the server again, and told him that we did not want this, and that we were going to leave (we had not touched the soup). He left to get the manager, and we waited to speak with her. We relayed our complaint to her, and she understood and told us we could leave, but the server immediately became combative and contradictory: he wanted us to pay for food that was incorrect and untouched, and began to spout off that the amount of meat we received was indicative of all Vietnamese locations. 1) We are not paying for incorrect, untouched food. 2) No, what you gave us is NOT indicative of Vietnamese portions. There are dozens of pho locations in Arlington, Haltom City, Carrollton, etc. I won't say that I have been to every one, but I have been to MANY and they give far more than your location. The amount of actual food (noodles as well) in your LARGE bowl is, honestly, insulting and borderline theft. All-in-all, this location is a complete rip-off. I will say, their broth is good. But, it is not worth the price. You can go to any number of other locations in the Arlington area (about 15 minute drive) and you will be far more satisfied. That is exactly what we did; left pho duy and went to Pho 95 in Arlington. Great size bowl, equivalent quality broth, more meat, more noodles, and Basil that was not wilted and black. This place is awful, and we will never return. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Initially, this place was great and our go-to pho stop. However, the last several times we have gone, their pho has been sub-par. Noodles overcooked and/or clumped and brittle. Broth is greasy and spotty; not adequate marrow simmer. The amount of meat in a large bowl has decreased at least 30%. And the provided herbs are often borderline spoiled. Overall, very disappointing. After four consecutive poor bowls, we will no longer order soup here, and will probably just stop coming.

Great find in a strip mall! Several varieties of ricepaper spring rolls at reasonable prices. I had the Traditional and it was one of the better versions I've tasted - good mix of fresh crunchy texture, good pork and shrimp, and just enough mint. The grilled chicken bun was also very good. I liked the finely chopped cucumber and picked carrots. It could have used some fresh herbs (cilantro or Thai basil, perhaps). Overall I'd probably give this place a 4.5 if it were an option for quick service and reasonable prices. Will return when I'm in the neighborhood! Update: my first meal was so fresh and a good value that I went again just a few days later. And it was even better than the first time. The grilled pork banh mi was excellent, as was the tofu one they made us (not on the menu)! Thank you - we will be back! Update 2: finally tried the pho. It was actually a bit disappointing given how good everything else has been. The rare beef was not rare at all, nor did it appear it was raw when added to the broth. Everything else is still good, but pass on the 🍜 pho.

Normally I drive a little further to Pho Duc (which is amazing) but I was super tired after working all day so went somewhere closer. First time here. I ordered the Large pho… as you can see the broth is not filled to the top and is a super light color like it’s chicken broth. Real pho should be a rich, brown color. It was flavorless so I had to Dr it up myself to taste decent. The amount of meat they gave me for a “Large” is just laughable. I counted 6 small slices. If this is a large I’d hate to see the small, maybe it’s a child portion? I have a bowl I normally put pho in and usually it’s filled to the top, I had a good 2” left from the top once I poured theirs in. I know times are tough but come on. I asked for extra bean sprouts which they charged me for, but did not get them even though I double checked by asking them if they were in the bag. The Thai Tea was flavorless. Not happy I tipped 20% and more just for some to go food. Not worth the $43 I just spent. Go to Pho Duc if you’re willing to drive and have some real pho. Very disappointing.

EDIT: Wow, your response speaks volumes!! I would never want to spend money with a business that talks to paying customers like that nor who makes you feel like a burden. Seems like you just don’t like my no star review. The charge wasn’t the issue, the service was but from your response, you obviously have no problem with mistreating customers. I have never had to pay extra for regular things I’ve requested such as onions, cilantro, &soy sauce but did with no problem. That’s all I asked for LOL. I was made to feel like I was bothering the people on the clock who chose that job. Have the day & business you deserve 🙂

No customer service. My first time going to this restaurant and I ordered plain pho no meat to go and asked for more cilantro and onions as I do at any pho restaurant and it was like pulling teeth. I could count the onions I got on 1 hand. Firstly, the lady pointed at my order which was behind where I paid at, she didn’t even hand it to me. When I requested more veggies she said it would be 50 cents and didn’t want to go back to get it. Like I was a bother or burden asking for extra that she charged for. Then I asked for soy sauce and she said something in another language to another worker as if I was asking for too much. Needless to say I won’t be back. VERY poor customer service! I paid for everything I asked for so what was the problem? Not to mention the portion size was half of what I’ve received at other restaurants for the same order. I don’t recommend this pho restaurant to anyone.

Pho Duy Response from the owner Thanks for your review but according to my employee she only charged you $.50 cents on the 3 things you asked for. We always strived to serve our patrons the best we can. Sorry but we’re not sorry to lose...
