I have been enjoying the Grisantii's Restaurants all over Memphis for the last 15 yers in Memphis. They are have great food and at responsibly priced. The location inside the Sheffield Antique Mall is a perfect addition to the family. The great thing about the location which is a great break while shopping. My wife an I enjoyed a couple of ice cold adult beverage at the bar inside the restaurant. We split a two items and both were outstanding. The toasted ravioli appetizer had a right amount of filling to breading ratio to make it a perfect bite. The dipping sauce was great and was worth eating all on it's own. We split the David Grisanti's Special Pizza with Chicken, Mushrooms, Artichokes and pesto as the sauce. It was perfectly cooked and had a ton of flavor. We would of ordered a sausage and cheese, but wanted to try something new. I would have this pizza again when we stop back by. The only down side of the location is that all of the employees were hanging out in the bar and having personal conversations. It just seemed a little strange while sitting at the bar.

Tonight was our first time to dine at David Grisanti's on Main and it didn't disappoint. Note - reservations are recommended, luckily we got there in time to dine at a table in the bar (6pm on a Tuesday). We ordered fried zucchini and it was delicious. I'll say I thought $10 for what amounted to one small zucchini, but it was well made and had a great crisp. The pomodore sauce that came with it had a good flavor but was watery/not much substance so I opted for the meat sauce with my entree. The eggplant parmesan was delicious, 4 pieces perfectly fried, topped with mozarella and the meat sauce, served over angel hair pasta. I loved it! My husband had the chicken parm and said it was really good. Both dishes were more than we could finish so we have leftovers for another meal. All in our bill was around $75 so a bit on the high end for dinner for 2, but we loved it and have leftovers, so we would repeat the experience.

If you want to plan a group… I organized my birthday dinner here. Scheduling process…. I called the restaurant and let them know I wasn’t sure how many people I would have and how many could they accommodate. They had flexible arrangements for tables. And over certain size groups, they would do a special menu. I ended up calling the restaurant and modifying the number a few times and each time they adjusted. Night of the dinner… a cake and some gifts got delivered to the restaurant earlier in the day. They had the tables set up and ready to go with the cake displayed. They had it figured out how many wait staff they needed for the group and everything went really smoothly with taking and receiving orders. Food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the experience, good, atmosphere etc. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to consider supporting a beautiful, locally owned spot.

It was a very disappointing meal. We were seated at 5:20p, and the main course didn’t come out until 6:20. Our server was seen four times, and we had to flag down other servers to get what we needed. The salmon was good, but the veggies were swimming in some liquid concoction. The filet (market price) ordered medium came out well done. To top the night off, the bill came with a 3.5% credit card fee. I paid with a debit card, and being a part of that industry for some time, I know this made the restaurant money.

This is a response to the owners comments. Let me begin by stating that Google reviews are for opinions, this is my opinion. It's not a complaint. I’m not asking for anything to replace this unfortunate experience. People deserve to see the actual side of a restaurant. As for the servers, it should be noted that, yes, the weather before the dinner was a bit challenging at best, but if you knew this, then shouldn’t you have limited your own reservations system? We did have reservations. As for the timing of the food, well there was a table that was seated 15 minutes after us and received their food 13 minutes BEFORE ours. So, your timing of “fine dining” doesn’t fit. When the food was dropped off, there was no check for the steak, as happens at “fine dining” restaurants. It was just dropped, and no one stopped by the table to offer refills or just to check. Could I have gotten up and said something? Yes, but I also wanted to see how your wait staff handled this situation. We even moved our plates to the end of the table when we finished. When we ordered the dessert, and you brought it to the table I don’t believe you ask, “How was everything this evening?” as the owners of “fine dining” establishments do. I didn’t know you were the owner, as you never said. After waiting a while, I had to flag another waitress down to settle my bill. That is where I noticed the credit card charge. You are correct that its 2.7%. Maybe I missed that, but I didn’t see it on your menu or even on your website when I made the reservations. As for credit card charge of 2.7%, debit cards are NOT charged the same amount as say a normal credit card. Under the Visa Interchange fees, the average on a debit card is 1.19% + $0.10 per transaction. In the case of my bill $133.00 this would have been $1.68, not $3.59. Again, this number changes with the card presented so that it could be a little more or less but nowhere close to the 2.7% you blanket on all transactions. It seems you are paying your credit card processor too much. To round this conversation out, I wasn’t trying to start a heated discussion; I just wanted to give an honest review. Please feel free to see all my other Google reviews as I don’t sit around waiting to give a place a bad...

I called at 1850 to make reservations and I was told a table for 3 at 1930 on the patio. We arrived at 1915 and was told our table was inside. We were seated next to the dish room. It was very loud and not where we wanted. We asked to move to an outside table as originally requested. We ordered almost immediately around 1930. Our appetizer and salad came out pretty quick. Most places will split the salad wedge on 2 plates if they know it’s being shared. This place brought us an extra plate. We waited until 2030 for our entrees that never came out. The server was not attentive. She didn’t check on us, we had to wave her down. Other servers were more friendly and attentive. Our own server avoided us. The table next to us got their food before us. I will never go back. Too many places to choose from nowadays to settle for bad service. We just found out from the manager that our dinner order did not get entered until 2012pm. They did not care that the mistake was made. She never even apologized. I believe her name was Tori. Manager acted nonchalant also. The weather was perfect for the patio and I was so excited about going. So...

I never write reviews but we had an amazing experience at David Grisanti’s on Main this evening so I wanted to share. This was our first time to visit the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The space is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. The hostess was professional and prompt to greet and seat us(we had a reservation). Our server, Lauren was the best we have had anywhere in a long time. Good service is so hard to find these days and I must give serious credit to her! My husband had chicken livers for an appetizer(he loves them and said these were some of the best he’s ever had) and I had a delicious, cold wedge salad. My entrée was the eggplant parmesan and it was perfect. My husband had manicotti and didn’t leave one bite. The bread was so good, rustic and simple but delicious; loved my Aperol Spritz and next time will try one of the many unique cocktails from the menu. I could go on and on, but I want to be relatively brief; this is a much-needed addition to Collierville, and we were thrilled that it was 100% perfect. We look forward to visiting again and...
