After my business was turned away for the second time (Oh My Ganache bakery needs 4-5 days notice for simple birthday cakes!! ).. I went searching for another bakery in the Collierville area.. Smallcakes had such great reviews i decided to try them.. and I am so HAPPY i did!!! They were very nice and accommodating.. called me back just like they said they would.. and went above and beyond to make sure the birthday cake i ordered was decorated the way i wanted!!! But i save the best for last.. The cake was a huge success!!! It was fresh, moist had great flavor and the icing was incredible!!! Small cakes is a very cute sweets shop that has something for everyone. I can’t tell you what their specialty is because it is all so good! My favorite is the homemade ice complete with a fresh homemade cone. In addition to everything being delicious, the service is absolutely superb. I was a bit late to order flowers for Mother’s Day, but small cakes saved me by delivering my mom’s favorite!! They don’t normally deliver for such a small order but they made an exception due to the proximity and filled it literally within several hours. I have been to Smallcakes several times and have always loved their cupcakes. I ordered a custom order for my sister’s gender reveal party and could not have been more disappointed. The cupcakes tasted fine, but the presentation looked like something I could have gotten from a local grocery store. When speaking with them on the phone they said I had ordered something “plain for a gender reveal” which I know I would never use the word “plain” when ordering a custom designed cupcakes.
