Friday's South Bar & Grill - Collinsville — Restaurant in Collinsville

I’m not sure why the waitress was so rude today but upon walking into the restaurant , fridays south bar & grill staff looked me & my family right in our face & proceeded to walk past up twice with out even a greeting. I end up having to go catch her before she walked past us a 3rd time to ask how long the wait we be she rudely said “ seat yourself “ I said ok & looked to see that their was only 2 tables open both were filthy. Again she walked past with out a word so I had to catch her again to ask “ hey when you fee a chance we found a table can you clean it “ she rolled her eyes & looked at me & said “ WHEN I GET A CHANCE! “ I was so thrown off I had to ask her why do you have an attitude is there something wrong?? She then yelled once again when she gets a chance. We end up just leaving the place & I told her on the way out how rude she was & how she needs better customer service skills. As woman who works to serve people everyday it was actually sad & very off putting to see how rude fridays south bar & grill treats their customers. Very rude & it’s obvious they don’t care about their customers. Also I saw at least 3 girls at the bar who ignored us as well. The place does not seem clean as I stated the above the tables were literally filthy. 0/10 would...

I want to start off by saying that our waiter was so nice and kind, he took good care of us and made sure we had drinks. That's why I'm giving "Service" five stars. But sadly, that's the only nice thing I have to say.

I ordered the cod and shrimp with mac and cheese and fries as my two sides. My first red flag was that the mac and cheese was some kind of Velveeta mac and cheese from the box, except it was worse than the Velveeta brand. Unflavorful and gross.

The cod was absolutely dreadful. It was soaked in grease and so overcooked and chewy that my jaw actually really hurts from having to chew it so much so that I didn't choke on it. The shrimp was also loaded with grease but at least it wasn't overcooked like the cod. The fries were nothing to write home about.

I also saw a lot of people vaping inside despite there being signs inside that said "No Vaping".

I had such high hopes for this place. I really did. I hope the wait staff realizes that they were excellent, but the cooks could definitely use a LOT of...

I drove there to meet a friend for lunch. Place was teeming with smiling faces and conversations. Jason greeted me and brought me my drink. People kept flooding into the bar and to the table area next door.

My phone died and he offered to charge it for me. Not having brought a car charger with me, he showed me where there was a Dollar Store in walking distance to get one. Still waiting, the Blues game came on the screens.

Couldn't resist, I ordered a Jamaican Jerk burger with fries, watched the Blues kick butt and was fully satisfied.

Friend called and said he couldn't make it. I told him it was ok. I got my phone charged, got a new car charger, ate a tasty meal, watched some exciting hockey, made some new friends and know an exceptional barkeep by the name of Jason at Fridays! Highly recommend for a good place to eat and...
