Are all Chinese carry-outs named China Express? Located between the National Arboretum and scenic Bladensburg Marina, this plain take away offers standard fare and, quite possibly, the best shrimp toast. It was difficult to tell from the elderly matron's answers if the shrimp toast was actually, you know, handmade on the premises or merely deep-fried there due to that Asiatic habit of always answering in the affirmative so as not to give offense to the Westerner. Is it frozen or not? Might of homed-in more on the truth. Beware they're heavy, greasy, and often saturated with oil - they're delicious, but won't keep and must be eaten hot. My enjoyment of their shrimp toast may have caused me to view the place through rose-tinted glasses yet their other rather ubiquitous standard Chinese offerings are good. I received disappointing service along with gaslighting at this location.

First, I gave the cashier my money in hand, and she returned the change on the counter…ok, fine, I let it go. She proceeded to fulfill the order of my fellow female patron, who happened to be white. When she called her to give her the order she said “Ma’am, your order is ready! Have a nice day”

When my order was ready, the cashier replies “Chicken wing”

I kindly took my order, but once I sat in my car and reflected, I returned to the store and calmly requested a refund, due to the service I received.

The cashier denied she treated me differently, and told me that the owner was on vacation. I did not argue, I guess just wanted to let her know that I noticed. It’s a shame, because the wings looked and smelled great. I won’t patronize this location again, there are plenty of places in PG to get...

I order the four wings and shrimp fried rice from here and let me tell you DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT order that from this carry out here the chicken was old, the pieces were too big looked like they poke the chicken with steroids and they gave me the wrong mumbo sauce that is not no DC made mumbo sauce ( I know it’s a Maryland carry out but dc right up the street) the fried rice was ok but next time if I order some carry out it’s going be from my neighborhood carry out now I need to go detox that trash from my body...
