Benny's Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

A little over a month ago, one of the bartenders named Chris Anerdon assaulted me and attempted to kill me. He fled the scene of the crime before the police arrived. I have filed charges with the city, and am in the process of getting a restraining order against him, and several other employees of Bennys who participated in the assault. Please, especially women, do not go to Bennys. More than one female friend has been Assaulted in the parking lot and the owner Dana, and the incompetent bouncer named Mike have turned a blind eye to drug dealing, violent assaults, sexual crimes, and homelessness on the property. I have also attempted to reasonably make contact with the owner to discuss the fact that he is essentially endorsing his employees attempted murder of me(worth no provocation). I am also in the process of going over the incompetent police office Adam Loughtons head and getting a supervisor to expand the list of charges that are to eventually be served to Chris Anderson and several other employees at this criminal blight on...

My fiancé and I recently checked out Bennys as we’re from Oklahoma. Upon arrival we stood at the bar for a few moments when a red headed lady took our order. I got a sprite and he had a beer. I had tried putting in an order for an appetizer and got told that I needed to wait, so wait I did. At this point we’re getting hungry so we just decided to put in our order. We get the food all together which is no big deal but the red headed bar tender hadn’t checked on us once. There was an elder gentleman who did check on us though. When my fiancé had went in to pay he didn’t tip the red headed lady as we tip based on service. We were getting ready to walk out when this lady had chased us out to our car saying she couldn’t read my fiancés signature, he resigns her signature and she goes “okay now can you fix your tip?” And he looked at her and goes” no my tips right” she proceeded to throw a tantrum about “oh so you’re really not gonna tip me?!” We just got in our truck and left. With 3 people behind the bar, I was not greeted until several minutes later. I ordered a Bourbon Burger. The meat might be 1/2 pound of above average ground but, even at medium, it was flavorless, cooked all the way through and bland. Nobody ever came to ask how it was, offer water or take another beer order. As you can see from my picture, service was weak. So, it's the culture and not worth complaining to the manager on duty as he was probably behind bar contributing to my experience already. After 3 hours, only the younger male bartender smiled and I never saw the female and older male bartender smile once. Definitely an over 55 crowd of seemingly nice regulars. Live Band was fun.
