Burger King — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Let me start off by saying, the 1st time I visited this place I had a wonderful visit. My girlfriend and I went to order family dinner, although she accidentally ordered the wrong Burger. When arriving to the window she politely asked to change her order, the woman at the window went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. And to add it was the freshest food I had ever tasted from a Burger King. Although after today's visit, I'm not so sure of my opinion... We were going to stop at a closer Burger King, but my girl was determined to get me to Return to this location because of our previous experience. as soon as I got up to order speaker, a homeless man approached asking (in a rather sketch way) but none the less for a double cheese burger if he gave me the money (The dine-in was closed due to covod I assume). After finding out he only had a hundred dollar bill I declined not wanting to try and break it at the window, and continued to order my meal. We felt bad after the fact and asked for a double cheese burger to be added at the window. The new not so compassionate younger woman at the window today refused to add it, then said "thats the problem with you" granted him taking 5 years to ask his question before hand didn't help the line but come on??? We still sat for an additional 5 minutes waiting on food anyway. Unless you specifically asked to get fresh food here and to wait cook time and give it back to them when they give it to you right away and let them know that you're waiting cook time for new food and then you say what you will get will be very similar to a hockey puck or your bread will be very similar to croutons and it doesn't matter what meat it will be very similar to jerky.

Although the people there the couple times I ate from there were friendly when I called to say my order is wrong and hard - but I only ate it twice since once I was told "I got the food from the Burger King on Academy." I know that there's three minimum, one on Airport & Academy, and one very North on Academy near the Chapel Hills Mall, in addition to this one which is why I ate here twice. Just because I was told Burger King on Academy and based on the direction the person was coming over I thought they meant the one on Airport - which seems to always be good but it is difficult to get in unless you know to turn at the light before (Pikes Peak) and take that back road or if you know other tricks like that- otherwise you end up crossing double yellow lines at messing up traffic laws with many ticketable things that people don't seem to care about, but it is still my recommended Burger King even if you have to drive a little farther to get to that one on Academy and Airport your stomach and mouth will thank you! This place has become disgusting, overcharged and cheap. I came here within the last month or so, and I ordered 2 whopper juniors and a lot of fries and a coke icee. Problems: I was ONLY given exactly four ketchup packets and ONE ranch packet, and was told I'd have to "pay extra" if I wanted more. (I ran out of sauces about 5 bites into my fries and ate the other 3/4 of the fries with NOTHING) The food was terrible, and I was shocked since I've been going there for years and NEVER was the food this bad but something's changed. The 2 whopper juniors I ordered were cold, the burgers were half as small as the tomato on the burger AND they tasted just like a soy (meatless) burger. Fries were cold + definitely cooked in old oil, and the ONLY good thing was the overpriced coke icee I got. I also got charged almost double what I paid when I ordered the SAME exact meal, at this same location two years ago AND the burgers were actually larger then, tasted like meat and not soy and the food tasted much better then). Good thing: The Manager on duty (female) seemed very cold and didn't even smile or thank me when I paid BUT the rest of the staff I communicated with were very kind and warm.
