I am having a hard time choosing a rating for this plaza, so I'll just share what I experience, and then let each of you decide for yourselves! This place is filled with awesome stores and helpful employees and good stock: Laundry Lounge, Taste of Philly, Ace Hardware (fyi, there's a post office location in the back of this Ace, in case you need one), Dollar Tree, Arc, Starbucks, King Super, etc etc etc. It is my go-to plaza for everyday supplies, a shot of caffeine, and to "stretch my eyes" when I've been in one place too long and need to get out (the mountain view from here is beautiful and refreshing). But - the potholes are numerous and huge. The painted lines are almost completely faded. The Burger King has mysteriously inconsistent hours all the times I've tried to go there (I haven't gotten the timing right ONCE yet, lol, but I will keep attempting it!). And - this may or may not bother you: a LOT of other people find this plaza useful, too. :) :) :). People who are coming from every direction on foot, with strollers, on bikes, in cars, and are only loosely organized because of the lack of line and barrier clarity (think the High School/Catholic Center side of The Citadel and it's parking, but busier, with a higher density of people and more traffic). As a result, I judge my going based on whether I can handle navigating people and all of these elements each time. There is always more than enough parking, the food is good, and I feel like it is easy to blend in when I can use a shower and/or am wearing a shirt that fits funny because I'm cleaning. If I need to simply and uncomplicatedly run in-and- out though, I'll find somewhere more expensive and...
Read moreThe parking lot is ate up and i can't tell you how many times I've been hit up for change. I don't go here with my wife and son after 5pm anymore because a had to fight a bum that tried to break into my car. We've also nearly been run over three times at the king soopers crosswalk due to impatient drivers. I was once threatened by a transient because i didn't have a cigarette he could have and my wife pepper sprayed some lady that tried to snatch our son outside of the liquor store in broad daylight! By the time the cops showed up the lady was long gone and we were stuck writing a statement. That was a year ago and as far as i know that creapy lady is still out there.
I like the arc though. And the dollar store has nice employees. And soopers has some great deals and helpfull employees.
Just be ready to defend yourself if you're in this...
Read moreUsually we have a great experience but unfortunately this time was not. We went through the drive thru and spent $35. When we arrived home the wife put the kids food on regular plates and let them start eating,I was washing up when she started her meal only to discover they gave me a tamale plate instead of the chili rellanos plate needless to say I was not happy. When I called Kevin answered and after nicely explaining what happened he told me to bring all the food back with a receipt. After the wife and kids already transferred their food to regular plates and started eating I could only laugh I HATE TAMALES I understand why they would expect this but I also expect to be eating what I ordered. Thanks for the effort by you...
