I've ordered from this restaurant multiple times and never had an issue. Today I ordered two Phillies to be delivered to my job. My lunch break at work is from 11:00 to 11:30 but the order said it wouldn't be there until 11:15 which was fine. At 11:20 someone from the store called me and said the delivery driver was lost because of construction in the area. I gave her very specific simple directions to get to my place of employment and it should have only took five more minutes for her to get there. At 11:35 I called the store back because my food had still not arrived and the store employee told me that my food would be there within a couple minutes. At 11:45 the driver calls me and ask for directions which I gave her the same simple directions as I gave the other employee that called. My food was finally delivered at 12:00 which obviously I was not able to eat because my lunch break was over. I called the store to speak to a manager about this because my order was 45 minutes late and the food didn't even seem hot, but go figure I'm sure it wouldn't be hot after sitting in a car for over an hour. The lady that answered the phone said that she was the manager and her name was Arleth. After telling her how I felt she responded by saying I'm sorry there's construction I'll put it in the notes for next time. I said that's it I'm sorry? She said yes there's nothing we can do about it. I asked to speak to the general manager or the store owner she said that she was not able to give out that information and I told her that was fine I would call back or come to the store in person. I called back after I got off of work and again asked to speak to the manager. Arleth answer the phone again and said that there was no manager there. She then put on another girl that said she was the general manager and her name was Alex Orozco or something along those lines. It sounded like a whole bunch of b* to me so I called another location which is still ran by the same owner and left a message for the owner to give me a call. We will see how this turns out but in the meantime I'd suggest staying away from this location. Customer service is not there at all and the employees seemed...
Read moreI ordered 2 sandwiches from here and each time I order it the sandwich is soaked and the bread is like snot. So this time I asked for the veg and dressing to be on the side. They called me to ask what I meant and the girl on the phone was super rude. I said just put everything but meat and bread on the side so it isn't soaked. She put me on hold and said she couldn't. I asked why, theyve done it before? Image said it's too many containers? I said well just put it to the side of the sandwich in the same container? Mind you I've done this before and I know what it looks like. She sighs puts me on hold and says they cant do that. I'm literally just trying to get my sandwich not soaked. I asked if I could talk to whomever she's talking to when I'm holding. She says no she's the manager. I ask if there's someone else to talk to she says just the owner. Whom she won't tell me when he's there, give me a number, etc. at this point I know I can't eat this sandwich because they're going to mess it up on purpose or do something horrible to it. I can't cancel the order because it's too late. It really feels awful being a customer these days. I wasn't rude, I wasn't unreasonable, - she was. I ask for her name so I can prove I called and spoke to someone she won't give me it. I ask her why she's being so rude and to think if shes ordering trying to avoid a problem how she'd feel, what better way to fix this? Like what else could I have done? I know at this point I'm not getting my food, I can't eat it, I just wasted my time and money and no one wins. I've been a customer of this place for almost 20 years. Weekly. Not worth. All this could've been salvaged but you guys aren't willing to dump my toppings in a separate box or put a piece of foil in between. 20 years of business over the price of foil. Mind you, I never asked for a refund or complained about the sandwiches arriving previously wrong...
Read moreFirst of all, there's really someone complaining in a different review about "too much cheese on cheese fries"? That blows my mind because this is EXACTLY what I want when I hear CHEESE FRIES.
Been here twice in the past week with different results each time. First time was absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, hot, cheesy, delicious, full filled sandwiches that had me eagerly craving more. My first sandwich was a green chile Philly (added bacon and jalapeños, delicious) and just blew me away. This time I ordered a chicken philly and all I'll say is it is NOWHERE near as good as the shaved steak meat. Not grading so much based off that because the traditional Philly is what they're more directed towards with the chicken option for those who prefer it. What was the most disappointing part of my chicken Philly was that each side of the sandwich had one bite that was 90% bread, barely filled at the ends of the sandwich at all when my last one was pretty full from end to end. They were also much less busy last night in my visit than previously so that was a little disappointing.
The employees all seem very nice and attentive.
All in all, Taste of Philly is definitely worth it, but some sandwiches need to be filled better!
P.S. ...get those cheese fries. They...
