Wow. I am not being overly critical here, just honest. If I prepared at home what I was served, I would apologize profusely that there had been a cooking user error and that we were going out for dinner. The beef soup that was "only served on weekends" (must be special, right?) was an extremely cheap cut of meat (that's OK if you do it right) and boiled into the consistency of rubber. I could not cut it with the utensils I was given. My search for comfort food was foiled and quite BAD. I mean to say, the worst meal I have ever been served in a restarant from here to Southeast Asia. No kidding. My husband got the "Peruvian" fried rice. It was flavorific (tons of MSG. Food cheating) overly salty and boring. I'll never get that $40. back. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I really feel people must be warned about places claiming to serve real food, when they just don`t. Don't be fooled by the menu. It all looks quite...
Read moreI exclusively stopped by this restaurant for Peruvian food, I was extremely disappointed of the poor quality and flavor of the food. Let's start with the tortilla chips, they were old and not crispy, the salsa is not homemade, Is canned salsa. The dish portion was small and pricey, but it does not matter because I couldn't eat it, since the flavor of the spices they used was overwhelming strong and it was no flavor on the steak. Now the ambient of the restaurant, the staff was drinking, playin music to laud, and to get any type of service or help took to long. Is a time and a place to socialize, and your business on a weekend during lunch time is not one of those. I will never go back, this is my 1st bad restaurant review, I feel bad, but they need to be aware of their deficiencies, so they can improve and be successful. Maybe the Mexican food is good, but the Peruvian food definitely is not worth to eat, or to be put...
Read moreMe and my husband were really looking forward to try some Peruvian food so we decided to give this place a try. Talk about disappointment! I ordered the 1/4 chicken (breast and wing) and was told they only had a wing left. So I decided I would try the dark meat (leg and thigh) and asked if they had that. The employee then responds with "Umm I'll just show you what we have left". She then walks over to a heater lamp and pulls out a container that looked like it had come from the King Soopers next door of the remaining bits of a rotessier chicken! You know the container with the black bottom and clear top, the ones that all grocery stores and Walmart sell their rotisserie chickens in SMH! We walked out after seeing that. I should have known better when I didn't see any chickens cooking. This place is a rip off. If you want Peruvian food and not King Soopers deli don't waster...
