I ordered a cheeseburger. I noticed it was raw after I started eating into it. I told the server it was raw. I noticed she just left it on the table and didn't take it to the back kitchen. I played poker there that night, and later on in the evening I asked the server if I could trade it for something else. I told her I'd trade it for Nachos. She told me they weren't serving nachos at that time. I said how about pizza. She told me the same thing. I told her you'll have to take this back, it's raw and you have nothing to offer that I want to trade for. I go in the next week and the bar tender confronts me that I left without paying for a cheeseburger. I said not true and told him what I stated above. He said he'll send along what I told him to the manager. He told me that because the server didn't take the cheeseburger back to the kitchen that the server told him I left without paying for it. It's very obvious that the servers motive was to not take it back to the kitchen to put the blame on me. The next week I find out they want money for a raw cheeseburger. It's extremely obvious to me that the management forced the server to pay for the cheeseburger so she DIDN'T tell them the truth about what happened. The bar tender even told me she never told him a word about what I actually discussed with her the first night I was there. I found the server to be young, and not intelligent with zero communication skills and she's willing to not tell the truth just so 15 bucks and change doesn't come out of her pocket. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR ON HER PART. The server needs to grow up and not throw a good customer under the bus to save herself from paying for a cheeseburger. All because she doesn't know how to tell the truth and her morals and values are non existent. This restaurant serves you medium cooked burgers. If they are willing to allow customers to eat medium cooked burgers then that can easily be undercooked to raw on the inside. The Brass Tap is willing to get you sick in general by having their normal standards of serving medium cooked ground beef. That's not right. Most restaurants I get burgers at will not allow a burger to be anything cooked less than well done due to pathogens not being killed by not cooking burgers to well done. This restaurant not only practices bad standards, they take the side of a young server that doesn't tell the truth! Shame on you to the owners and managers at the Brass Tap. If I was allowed to give you a big fat Zero I would but it forces me to give a 1. I will never eat here again, you've shown your true colors. I RECEIVED A RAW BURGER, BUT YET THEY WANT MONEY FOR IT. JOKE OF MANAGENT AND THAT TRICKLES DOWN TO THE YOUNG SERVER THAT HASN'T BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK IN LIFE. Start telling the truth. That goes a long...
Read moreThe best way I can describe this place is very average; nothing stood out as memorable. I don't know if they still do it, but I went around the summertime and they were doing Taco Tuesday and you could get a plate of tacos with chips and salsa for $5. That is an amazing deal considering how much food they give you (better price than fast food). I would definitely check and see if that is still a deal they do.
If you do decide to go there, my favorite foods were the steak quesadilla (not on the menu but they will make it if you ask) and the chips + salsa. The quesadillas are served with BBQ sauce, which I think is a really good move on their part. I order quesadillas all the time and cannot remember another restaurant ever doing this, but it works and their BBQ sauce isn't too bad.
The salsa was the best dipping sauce I got with the Trio, although it was mostly sweet and not at all spicy. The queso was average; nothing stood out about it. The guacamole, however, I know was made in house because it was super chunky and terrible. I feel like the person making it missed an ingredient or two because it tasted ridiculously bland..the cooks need to taste the batch before they serve it to customers. The chips were actually really good, they are thick cut and were salted well every time I had them.
Unless you are getting the Taco Tuesday deal, I would go to a Mexican restaurant for tacos unless Tex-Mex is really your thing. I wasn't impressed by the quality of their tacos.
The chicken tenders sucked. I believe they were hand-breaded, but I have had better tenders at fast food restaurants. The crinkle fries that came with them were nothing special either. I wouldn't recommend the pizza, either. It tasted better as leftovers than served fresh, but the crust has no taste.
The brisket grilled cheese sandwich was a disappointment as well. I thought I was going to really enjoy this one, but it was super rich. Cloying is the word I would use to describe it. Honestly, I feel like they were trying to do too much with it. There are so many different flavors hitting your mouth. The initial bite or two is pretty decent, then it just became too much. Also the brisket gets lost in the sandwich because there are so many other flavors...
Read moreCame to this restaurant before a concert last week. Ordered off the concert night menu. There were 3 of us and we did the BOGO drinks. First off my husband received his beer and myself and daughter didn’t receive our ciders. The waitress questioned again which ciders we wanted because she said she thought they were out and what else did we want. We picked another cider and she came back a while later with our apps and said ohhh no one brought you your drinks. I’ll go get them. She came back and set down 2 drinks and said here you will love these..,,told us what they were and walked off. They weren’t even the 2nd ciders we ordered. Ugh….we did like them so we didn’t complain. I asked if we could close out and handed her our CC since we didn’t want to be late to the concert. Our bill came and it was 80 bucks! She didn’t give us the BOGO and charged us for 4 ciders! We only got 2! She said she would fix it, it got fixed but then the bill still showed a total charge of 80 bucks! Had to explain again that the total was incorrect. She fixed it but at this point we left no tip, which we never do but gosh, this was just not good service. Credit card was charged 65 bucks. They took it upon themselves to add a 10 dollar tip! I literally marked down a zero with a line through it and then totaled the amount. What a totally illegal move adjusting a tip when none was given. I would not recommend this place based on the fraud they committed to my credit card. This will be disputed and I cannot believe anyone would try to pull something like this!...
