Worst dining experience in my life (and I am a senior citizen and usually not critical over the small stuff but this experience was anything but the small stuff). First the restaurant was very cold inside. It was 5:30 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 and not busy. They sat us by the busy kitchen door. We asked for another table away from the busy and they said the other tables were under the cold blowers and would be more uncomfortable. Our server was just there three days so we gave her some space and forgiveness for not knowing the menu. It was my son-in-laws birthday so we were there with our family and granddaughter. Four of us ordered salads with our meal. Two salads came out and we waited about 10 minutes and the other two had not been served. We caught the attention of the manager (maybe) and he said he would get the other salads out. We waited another 15 minutes before they arrived. Soon after the two of us that ordered the 14 ounce ribeye medium cooked arrived at our table. We both cut into our steaks and they were not medium but raw. Yes raw (not even rare but raw inside and cold). We asked for another steak and they said they would get them out to us. One of us ordered chicken tenders (fingers?) and they came out raw in the center. Another in our party is a Celiac and can not have gluten. She ordered the ribs and said I can not have the fries since they are cooked in the same oil as gluten food. She was careful in saying that the waitperson needed to notify the cook of her concern and please no fries. Her ribs arrived and they came with fries so she could not eat her ribs. They agreed to bring her another order. We waited another 20 minutes for that one to arrive. Meanwhile my son-in-law and myself finally got our second refired steak. It was ordered medium. One was medium on one end but raw at the other end (not sure how that was possible but it happened). Mine came charred very well done. Even our waitperson said she could tell just by looking that it was way over cooked. They did agree to refire another steak but by this time it had been about 90 minutes since we sat down so I told them that I can't hold up our table any longer. In fairness to Dave and Busters they did take both steaks, the chicken tenders (fingers?) and the gluten contaminated ribs off our bill. We all agreed that we will never set foot in that restaurant again. How could so many improperly prepared dishes leave the kitchen, and leave the server station and all be so bad. To boot my son-in-law ordered a side of their roasted Brussels sprouts. We all love them and wanted to share. They were roasted beyond recognition and as hard as could be and a knife had a hard time sawing through them. The one we all tasted was very bitter, and tasted spoiled. NOTE: the next day I was over at my neighbors house and talked to them about the horrible experience we had. He said he took his son to Dave and Busters here in Colo Springs and he said he had such a horrible experience there too. First the long wait for his food in a not busy day and then his food came out and was served to the wrong table. He could see them forking through their entrees. That table then told the server, "Hey this is not what we ordered but we will eat it". The server picked up the plates and served the food that was mis-delivered and forked through to my neighbor's table. He said I can't eat this since it has at another table. His son was so hungry from waiting so long that he did eat his meal but with his father's concern. I can only tell everyone of our experience in hopes that they will not have to have what was supposed to be a joyous celebration for our son-in-laws birthday to what became a dining nightmare. Yes the absolute worst restaurant experience in not just my life but everyone at our table and our...
Read moreIt was my friend time ever going to any sort of Dave & Busters last night. You walk in and no one is there to greet you or help you figure out which way to go. The “card booth” for the arcade is conveniently located all the way in the back right corner hidden from your naked eye. Had a hard time finding the restroom. You can see people wandering aimlessly through the establishment as they try to understand where the flow is. I couldn’t find any manager when needed so I could ask questions. I was pretty upset at the service we were given by the women “loading our cards”. I told her, “I’ve never been here before what is common that people get here what do all the points mean etc.” She stared at me and said, “How many of you? Two? Just get two cards.” She didn’t even smile, she wasn’t kind at all looked younger really with longer curly ish hair. So my fiance told her just two cards with 50$ on it each, after she loaded them he realized we could have gotten MORE points on the card had we just loaded 100$ on ONE card instead of 50$ on two and she wouldn’t reverse the transaction, she told us, “It’s too late.” Obviously as my first time being there something to credit us probably would have gone a long way.
The atmosphere was absolutely packed given it was a Saturday. However, you wait in lines for popular games and most of the games we wanted to play were broken. We paid 14 points each to play a VR zombie game that I found out was broken once it started. I found a guy to help credit me the points back that we spent since we couldn’t play and instead of giving us back the 14 points each he allowed us to pick a game on the floor. I realized the game was only 7 points so if you do the math not only was I cheated out of 150 points originally loading the card but we also lost another 14 points their due to THEIR game being broke. Half the time you don’t realize when you swipe your card on a game it takes 15 seconds to respond so I also double swiped games and it took points off my card but I only played one round, like the one by “Pump it up” so that also pissed me off to lose another 10.1 points. Naturally I don’t think I want to go back I feel like you’re cheated out of your money there.
The only thing I will say that’s positive is you get more “bang for your buck” I guess. We love going to the arcade at Main Event. The cards/games there are more expensive. But you get what you pay for and I feel like all the staff at Main Event are awesome, welcoming, they fix your problems, and fairly reload your cards when their games malfunction. It’s also not as busy, even on a Saturday but probably because it has been a staple in this town for so long.
I didn’t eat there last night so I won’t be...
Read moreThis review is based on watching sports at the bar, nothing to do with the gaming area. I will make one comment about the gaming area, it seemed rather small.
For starters, it is obnoxiously loud in there, unpleasant if not unbearable. Why they didn't use sound dampening foam on the ceiling in the bar area nor the whole area, I don't understand. I get that the gaming area will be loud, but the bar shouldn't be that loud. Why the gaming area isn't walled off using glass in order to lower the sound to the bar space, I don't understand either.
Been there twice to watch football, and we will not go back. The server we had around 6 January was either high as a kite, or didn't get any sleep the night before. He messed up simple bar food orders and at times completely forgot to put in our beer orders. Then there were at least 3 beers on tap that ran out (Including Coors Light..how?), and this was a Saturday, at around 1pm. The Nashville Hot wings were more like BBQ wings with a sprinkle of red pepper on them. The garlic parm wings were not good either, too soggy and over-seasoned. Three large screens for the football game, except one of them was a few seconds ahead of the other 2 screens which made it quite awkward to watch. I don't how to explain this, but there are a ton of tv's and not many of them are in an area that makes it comfortable to watch. In fact, the inner left side of the bar is poorly designed for sports watching.
Decided to go back to watch football on 28 Jan, taking 2 friends who hadn't been yet. Again, loud as all get out. They have these large tables in the bar area which are located right under the largest screen tv's and if you sit there, you will not be able to comfortably see the screens..I guess those are party tables for people who don't want to watch tv, okay, but just know that before you get reservations there. That aside, I sat smack dab in front of the beer taps at the bar and my friends said "good luck, it took up 10 minutes to get our beers", and I am within arms reach of the taps. It took me about 10 mins to get the attention of one of the 3 bartenders. The first guy serving us seemed like he didn't want to be there. Standoffish, unfriendly, and we were beyond pleasant with the bartenders even having to wait for beers we could've poured ourselves. I had a cheeseburger that looked like someone in the back punched it before plating it. It was okay, but about the quality of a McD's cheeseburger, absolutely not worth the cost.
I'd say: too loud, overpriced, poor service, seating isn't all that great despite there being a lot of it. If you want to watch sports, there are much better...
