Only getting 2 stars as they offered to comp our whole meal, which was the right call.
Service (by Lucas) was awful even for a 1 star hotel. We aren’t hard to please, but took long time to take our order and said they are short staffed (there were 3 total other tables outside… and maybe 3 other parties inside). Took our order and when he brought it out never gave us any silverware. Also said he forgot the chicken for the salad. Waited another 10 min and nothing so I went in to at least get silverware. He was behind the bar chatting up one of the girl employees. Clearly looked embarrassed. Basically admitted he still never put in the chicken order. Another waiter came by and asked how things were going so we told him …
He came back and apologized on behalf of our waiter, said he comp’d the meal, and gave us some ice cream tokens for our kiddo.
We don’t require all that much, but on a slow day at a higher end resort… pretty weak to not even bring silverware or check on your guests at all…
Oh the $15 salad was garbage also. Looked like a premade salad kit with a few cut up slices of cucumber. That was it.
The whiskey cocktail I got was solid though at least !...
Read moreIf you would like a venue to have a wedding or some other event, BEWARE, THEY ALLOW LITTLE KIDS TO RUN RAMPANT, with parents hollering at the tops of their voices in the Restaurant and Hotel lobby. Hotel staff walking around in a daze and allow this behavior..I’m sure at some point a child will get injured and the parents will sue the hotel, then maybe there will be changes.
Now with regards to the food. It took 45 minutes for my soup and salad and the soup was cold. When my waitress Lexi asked how my meal is I stated “the soup is cold” her response “would you like to have it heated up.” Unbelievable, yes I would like HOT SOUP.
What the heck, to top it off the waitress Lexi had an attitude when I asked for water and told her my soup was cold.
I spoke with the food manager, I was told there are 2. The lady that I spoke with agreed the adults and children were hollering and screaming and that’s a normal occurrence.
I don’t know what’s worse, the children and adults hollering and screaming, the little kids running throughout the restaurant and lobby or the attitudes of the Manager...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant the last day of our stay at the Resort. We thought it would be exciting for ourselves and our kids to have a somewhat fancy meal. Upon approaching the hostess and getting seated our waitress came by, introduced herself, handed out waters and asked if we would like to order anything else besides water. Strange to me but we polity told her we weren't sure. She left and of course expecting a prompt check in time just started to drag. I ended up setting my timer on my phone to see how long it would take her to come back - 15 minutes - we were a minute from getting up and walking out. I wish we did. When she acknowledged our table her first response was she was sorry she forgot about us. How do you forget about a table? Another opportunity to leave, yet we stayed. My husband and I ordered the sirloin, my steak was overcooked and tough, and there were more brussel sprouts than anything else on the plate. We also ordered a kid pizza, a kid chicken tender, and a rib sub. All just ok. Not worth the money or the interaction and that's really unfortunate....
