I first rated this location 2 stars 11 months ago. I have been here a few more times since then, and sadly, I don’t feel compelled to change my rating. I have honestly enjoyed the taste of the food we’ve been served and have no complaints there. But the customer service is so displeasing, especially when I’m attempting to use an offer sent to me FROM Fazoli’s as a subscriber to their eFamily newsletter. I’m always questioned as if I’m making it up (using drive thru). Once I pay at the window, they will give me a different discount. For example, I received a promo on Martin Luther King Jr Day for up to 3 kids meals for 99¢ each with purchase of an adult meal. I asked before I placed my order if they/their location would honor it. I was told yes. I gave my order of an entree, a sub and 2 kids meals. What they gave me was 1 free kids meal, despite scanning the barcode on my cell. Although any discount is appreciated, I’ve had issues enough times at this location regarding discounts that I questioned the promo. I was told you can only have 1 per adult meal, yet I pointed out it said 3. In the end, the manager there gave me a refund, but begrudgingly. The cashier said they hadn’t seen this coupon yet, and I believe her, as I had received it maybe an hour before I arrived, shortly after they opened. But why can’t discounts from Fazoli’s be simply honored here or just tell me “no, we don’t accept these offers”? I could respect that. I’ll add that another time I ordered (drive thru again), the offer sent to me was a buy 1 get one free fettuccine alfredo, and I read the fine print to see if it was dine-in only (it wasn’t). As always, I asked before ordering if they honored it. I was told “no, we don’t.” A man who had eaten inside and was getting in his vehicle to leave overheard and yelled to me, “they’ll give it to you, but you have to go inside!” I said my thanks to him and put in an order anyway, because I was headed home from work and just wanted to order for my family and go home. I’m not trying to be a cheapskate and scrounging up coupons every chance I get. Fazoli’s offers an email program and I sometimes utilize, or try to utilize, what they offer to me. I’m much more likely in the future to drive out of my way to go to the other location, where I have never had a negative experience in any way. That’s too bad, because we enjoy Fazoli’s food. But customer service shouldn’t...
Read moreI took my daughter out on a daddy daughter date. She wanted to eat at the place with the tomato sign. The entire experience at this establishment was sad. Starting with the dark parking lot which felt rather unsafe. Inside, no one was at the counter for several min and we just waited. When we ordered the cashier was pretty much insisting on a tip, and kept trying to push the button for the highest amount on the machine. Trying to find a clean table was impossible. There were only four clean tables, the others all had dishes on them, even though there were only three or four other customers in the building. Each table we went to was sticky and gross. It is as though they used a dirty floor mop to wipe off the tables. We found the least dirty and used water and napkins to clean the table better. We got our food, which was not bad. Just average, nothing to write home about. But each order should have had bread sticks. The guy who dropped off the order said they didn't have plates and he couldn't bring out bread until he had plates. He said using a carry out bag was not an option when I asked. We were at the table for 20-25 min and finished our dinner, then the guy showed up with a couple breadsticks. We were done so it was a mute point at that time. The overall experience here was very poor. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The outside of the building should have been an indicator that what was inside was dark and unenjoyable as well. There are other places in town, give them a shot before trying this one if you have a choice.
Follow up: Fazoli's asked me to email them. I did. They did not reply. It was just an act to make it look like they cared, which makes it an even worse place. Still recommending you go anywhere else. Stay away from...
Read moreOn January 22, 2025 I went through the drive-thru and ordered a spaghetti and meatballs meal and some breadsticks. The spaghetti and meatballs entree was very good. However, my entire order of breadsticks was terrible. Each of the four breadsticks was hard, crusty and stale. I reluctantly ate the breadsticks because I paid for them and I was hungry. I then decided to call the Austin Bluffs Blvd. Fazoli's restaurant and complain about my dissatisfaction with my breadstick order. I spoke directly to the Manager Datrell about my complaint. Darrell apologized for my unsatisfactory food order and asked me to come to his restaurant and speak to him in person and Datrell said he wanted to make things right and give me a dozen freshly baked breadsticks. On January 23, 2025 I went to Datrell's restaurant and introduced myself. Darrell asked two of his employees to listen to what I had experienced with my breadsticks order the previous day. I told the employees what had happened. Datrell then had his employees prepare me a dozen freshly baked breadsticks and they ensured the breadsticks were fresh. I told Datrell that I had just worked a 12 hour shift and just got off work and was very tired and hungry and that I had driven from the South end of the city to pick up the fresh breadsticks. I asked Datrell if he would be so kind as to throw in a free order of spaghetti and meatballs because of my inconvenience. Datrell gave me a free order of spaghetti and meatballs and a large drink cup to help myself to a soft drink. I thanked Datrell for his consideration and thoughtfulness. Datrell is a delightfully kindhearted young man and he more than made things right by his actions. I will definitely continue to visit this Fazoli's restaurant...
