We are in town visiting, and this is the best Greek food I've ever had. Their gyro meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, the flavoring was strong but not overpowering. The chicken kebab was cooked to perfection and flavored splendidly. The rice on my plate was perfectly cooked, no tooth but not soggy at all.

When I ordered, I immediately heard them start chopping the salad. I have never heard a place make FRESH salad for every order. I had so many questions that were answered with patience (best in person, it gets confusing over the phone as they take a lot of orders and it's hard to differentiate between if you're ordering or asking). Everything was clean, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, not greasy at all. The clearly homemade hummus, tzaziki, and dressing were all balanced and well rounded and amplified everything on the plate.

Whether eaten separately or together, each item was immaculate. The portions are very generous! I wasn't expecting that since everything is hand made but we ended up getting multiple meals out of one trip, and there will be more.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, I promise you won't regret eating here if you...

I love Greek food, but what I love even more than good food is some good customer services. Which is exactly what I did NOT receive when I visited the Greek Cafe. When I walked into the Cafe I was immediately greeted with a blank stare, the two ladies working in the back didn't acknowledged me, didn't say hi, nothing. I noticed they were running a little behind, so I thought- alright they're busy I'll let it slide whatever. So I stand by the cash register, waited until they served a small family, and another ladie's to go order. After about an addtional 4minutes one of the servers looked straight at me I thought -alright she's gonna take my order! Instead she grabbed a dessert out from the fridge then turned around, while the other server cleaned up some paper behind the counter. I ended up walking directly out the door, there's plenty of other restaurants that will gladly take my business or at least say "hi"...

I had high expectations and I was very let down. 1st off the staff. The 2 ladies ignored me for about 20 minutes+ just to order. Also while I was ordering she interrupted us to talk to her friend. I politely ordered my food and asked for no tomatos 3 times ( im deathly allergic). Well not only were there tomatoes on both items but also some hidden at the bottom. The meat was over cooked and not seasoned.. I had to wait outside for 20 minutes or so to recive my food. I waited outside due to the staff trying to constantly touch my services dog. I would appreciate getting a message back about this if possible. Along with that from 1 to 10 cleanness was a 1.5. Social distanceing was not acceptable and no one was wearing a mask yet alone gloves. I hope the owner can contact...

So, so glad I found this family owned eatery! The Greek Cafe is a gem! I had their Gyro Pita, falafel and hummus, and a piece of baklava. I managed to get a photo of the gyro before eating it but not the falafel and hummus. The gyro was stuffed with meat, which was perfectly cooked, fantastic tzatziki sauce, lettuce and tomato. It was fantastic! Though I like a lot of lemon juice in hummus, their hummus is very good and so, too, the falafel. The baklava is, also, yummy. If you're in Colorado Springs and looking for a Greek bite, go to the Greek Cafe. You won't be sorry.

Lunch on a cold day and the Gyro was great. They make them by hand when you order, and it comes with lettuce, tomatoes and onions and a tzatziki sauce drizzled over the top. The meat was fresh and hot, and tasted great. The sauce was a little lacking in flavor, but overall it was a nice complement to the rest of the Gyro. The restaurant itself is a little worn, but not bad at all. The service was quick. The menu prices online (in pictures) were incorrect, I uploaded a new menu pic. I think the Gyros are a bit overpriced for what you get currently.

Never judge a place by its cover. Didn't get a good vibe when I walked into place but one bite of gyro and I was a believer. The attached picture doesn't do it justice. Full of well seasoned meat off the cone. The tzatziki was an excellent compliment to meat. The lettuce and tomato toppings were fresh. One in party never had a gyro. His first words after taking first bite -really been missing out all these years by not trying. Will definitely return when back in area. Don't worry the guard goose walked away as we approached.
