I had been looking around town for a new and inexpensive salon. I realize you get what you pay for, and no where is that more true then this location. I arrived as a walk-in to a more or less empty store with my boyfriend in tow. We were both planning on getting haircuts and I had gotten about 10-12 inches cut off here about a month or so ago. It had been a more or less pleasant (if extremely quiet and slightly awkward) experience. So, we both got sat more or less immediately. I had been thinking about going from my past-shoulder length hair to a chin-length messy bob with side-swept bangs. Not particularly crazy. So the stylist (Vanessa) immediately jumped in and started hacking away at my hair with no real concern for style. Once she was done, not only was my hair almost exactly shoulder length (with a straight-across cut instead of a messy one), but my bangs looked like a pasted down toupee. Then she had the nerve to inform me that it was my hair's fault and that I should really manage my expectations. This after she cut my hair, not before. Needless to say, I will not...

We were walk-ins today because our usual place was too busy to give my little guy a haircut. It was the best experience I've ever had with my son. He is only 2 so he doesn't sit and acts like a typical toddler. It's never an easy time. We were lucky enough to be match with an amazing woman named Jill. She was so calm, cool and collected. She took her time and gave me very grandma vibes. This was the first time he didn't lose his mind. She was so gentle with him, he actually started to fall asleep in the chair. When he did get a little fussy towards the end she let him calm down and kept doing what needed to be done. It was a very calming environment for him. And his hair was exactly how we asked for it. All the ladies were warm and welcoming, which made the experience that much better. We have found our place for him and we found our person. I'm too trusting ! I took pictures I found on the web to make sure I was clearly describing my desired cut. The girl I got was cheerful and said she loved cutting exactly what I wanted and it would be easy to do with my hair. I sat - confident in her skill--she said she has been a manager of one of the local sites for many yrs. After leaving -and tipping her well, I went on with my day -- OH MY !!! she "CHOPPED" large sections! CHOPPED ! LIKE leaving large straight chop marks that no mater what- I can only go some place expensive(maybe) and have it cut VERY short and styled or let it grow for how many ever months to have it long enough to correct. I wish I hadn't given her such a tip -- I always tip and I just didn't take a close look when she finished--she didn't even offer me the mirror like most do when she finished. I have the thought of getting a wig - WHAT I HAVE NOW IS THE WORST I...
