Update 7/12/24 Came back with a date. He ordered Mongolian beef and said it was delicious. My noodle bowl was a bit lacking this time. The greens were a bit old, and abundant. No discernable peanuts, so, more of an eh meal. But the owner was still busy, and on top of things. After hiking the Barr Trail to Pikes Peak and back we wanted something light and decided that pho was the way to go. After reading reviews we decided to give this place a try. And we are glad we did.
The woman that greeted/sat/waited on us appeared to be the owner. She was friendly, and sharp as a tack. The whole time we were there she was busy, busy, busy, yet didn't miss a single person walking in.
I got chicken pho and a grilled chicken noodle bowl. My companion ordered the combo pho. My grilled chicken bowl came out first and the house sauce was on the side. IDK what it was but the dish was delicious! I highly recommend it and will likely be back for more. The pho came served with bamboo shoots, jalapeno, and fresh greens (not sure what they were, I opted out). The soup was hot and tasty. We had read a review that there wasn't much meat in the pho, but that wasn't the case for either of ours.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and our time in this...

The chicken, shrimp, and pork were truly grilled to perfection with a nice charred-flavor, full of actual pieces of meat. The dish was definitely worth the price with a good portion size, and quantity of proteins given. Although the fish sauce (Nuoc mam) wasn’t that strong, I didn’t mind enjoying the scrumptious flavors of each component in the dish. This humble restaurant is definitely a good option for Vietnamese food in the area (specifically bun, or vermicelli noodle bowls). Additionally, the service was excellent with a welcoming waitress who checked in on my family during the meal, and courteously catered to our needs. Furthermore, my family ordered pho and was generously served a helping of vegetables, which were fresh and great quality. This location is definitely a must visit for the next trip to...
Read moreHouse of Sáigón has been one of our go-to restaurants for 10+ years now. And when I say "go-to," I actually mean to-go. Honestly, I've never once eaten inside! Here's the thing: personally, the ambiance isn't appealing to me. It's small and needs a good revamp. However, the staff is amazing and the food is delicious. Even better: they are quick! I normally call about 20 mins out, and they have the food hot and ready upon pick-up. The spring rolls are great, but my favorite is the noodle bowl with an extra egg roll. 🤤
Edited 2024: the Pho has become a new favorite, especially when one of us isn't feeling great. The broth is super nutritious and healing. While waiting (a few mins, max) for our food one day, a lady walked in and asked for "healing soup". It was the pho. Ever since then, I'm a...
