On one occasion I personally witnessed one of the sandwich makers turn away an elderly veteran because he was standing in the wrong line. When I walked into the restaurant there was him and one other customer. she was in the checkout line and he was behind her, the worker told him that if he wanted service he would need to get in the right line. He was the only other person in the store until I walked in, so what line and if he knew what he wanted why did it matter if he stood in front of the meat counter. The gentleman was so embarrassed and upset that he eventually left after being treated no better than a lettuce leaf on her shoe. I left too out of respect for him. I didn't visit this establishment again until today when the line to Taco Bell was extremely long and I needed to get back to work quickly so I jumped in a short line for food at Jersey Mike's well let me say it won't happen again, ever. After the first incident I was hesitant to give this store a second chance. Well I ordered a sandwich from what I assume was a person, not Mike's style, no onions, please add mayo sandwich. What I got was a sandwich that was Mike's style, had onions and no mayo. The kid spoke so fast he was barely understandable. For $8 I expect my sandwich to be what I order but these kids are in such a hurry to get you through the line that they forget the service. I won't be back, even when the like to Taco Bell is out in the road and I have to wait half my lunch break for food, at least they speak clearly enough to be understood and I've never seen them turn someone away for standing in the wrong line. So Mike if your ever in the Interquest/I-25 store, don't expect much,...
Read moreFirst impressions mean a lot to me! Well my 1st visit this morning let me know that I will never be back! Our cadet suggested this place since he frequents it often, so we went in to have sandwiches made to go! First off, the prices are high! Second, the employees are high! Gave the guy our order of first sandwich while waiting to decide on our others. He couldn't do anything until he knew the rest of our order. My husband first ordered a regular, then asked to make that a giant instead. Then I placed my order for a regular. He then pulled out more bread and we asked him to tell us what he was doing. Finally took some bread away and got the correct pieces laid out. Before he started to make the first sandwich, I noticed the board was full of liquid and other food, so I asked him to clean it. He hesitated, but finally went over and got a rag and somewhat wiped it off. Then proceeded to pick up the bread with the same gloves on his hands! I asked him to change gloves and get new bread. He argued that he had used a clean rag and it had been sitting in sanitizer all day!!! I still had to argue with him to change things and he finally reluctantly did. Then went to the back of the kitchen and mocked me!! Finally got our sandwiches made and as we paid, the girl at the register apologized and offered us chips, which I refused! Not a way to run a restaurant! Not a great 1st impression! You only get one chance to make a 1st impression and you blew it!! No way will I...
Read more5/1/24 at approximately 8 pm at the drive through: placed an order for two kids MEALs. The person taking my order sounded monotone (my interpretation is depressed). He asked “with nothing on it?” I responded: No, Mike’s way except no tomatoes and add pickles if you have them. An expected typical follow-up question would be what side did I want or what drink did I want since I ordered a meal. He simple said in a monotone voice, “Anything else?” To which I replied I would like salt and vinegar chips to go with my meals. “Anything else?” Yes, Starry with no ice. “Anything else?” No, that’s it. Monotone “Total at the window.” When I got to the window he asked if it was an order for Saline. I said no, I ordered two kids meals. He said he would have them out in a moment and then came back and asked what kind of chips I wanted. I confirmed. I got my meals in a bag. He then handed me my drinks, both with ice. I did not say anything and drove off. I got home and the sandwiches both had tomatoes and no pickles. It was just an underwhelming experience and our food, though edible, came out all wrong. Even when picking off the tomatoes, you could still taste them. I probably will not be going back for another experience. I typically have nothing but good experiences with Jersey Mikes. And typically, I am understanding that mistakes happen but it was more than one thing- it was pretty much the entire experience. Edit: to be fair it’s possible I...
