Joey's NY Pizza — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

My family, including two very picky children, recently discovered Joey’s NY Pizza and are very happy we did! The first time we went we ordered a 24” pizza - half cheese (picky kids) and half sausage/pepperoni/green chili/mushroom. When this pizza came out it was immediately apparent that it was a TWO FOOT in diameter pizza! The crust was cooked perfectly. We even got to teach our kids how to fold NY pizza to eat it easier, which they thought was fun. The second time we came we tried a half pepperoni/ham/pineapple and half banana peppers and olives. Yes… No picky kids with us this time! Again, cooked perfectly, fresh out of the oven, and exactly what we wanted! Having worked at a pizza place in a past life I can confidently confirm that the crust was made from scratch and hand tossed.

There was a steady stream of customers and to-go orders yet the service was spot on! The staff were friendly and provided suggestions when asked. They checked in with us and made sure we were well taken care of. The inside was clean and very well maintained. The patio looked inviting and we will be eating there when the temperatures warm up and we can enjoy a couple of beers from their selection.

We will be regular patrons of Joey’s Pizza and are glad we found this...

My wife and I lucked up on this location one afternoon when I was picking her up from work and we decided to stop in. First of all, the local is dope for personal interaction and low key vibes, when we walked in the music was absolutely fire & the crew greeted us immediately happily. Because we were new to the spot we were given ample time, no rush to peruse the menu and decide what we liked, all questions were answered and suggestions provided. Once the food started coming out everything was piping hot, steam coming from it. All of the flavors were absolutely spot on. This location makes all of their sauces fresh, everything was hand made on order. It was just absolutely epic between the location and environment the other patrons coming in were super nice and personable as well. There wasn't one thing we tried that wasn't absolutely delicious. The prices were also great for everything we ordered, just a completely solid vibe and experience. I can 100% say that I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a dope spot to relax, vibe, and be around great people this is your location.

OK, so I’ve passed this pizzeria (Templeton Gap location) so many times over the past several years while working but never found the time to stop in for a bite. The other day we happened to be in the area and were hungry for lunch. I recalled this restaurant and we drove over. Our order was simple - 14 inch cheese, pepperoni and jalapeño pizza, and three drinks. The 14 inch pie was enough to feed the three of us (2 slices each). Pizza was freshly baked and came out quickly. I’ve included a picture of the soda fountain. I’ve never had Stubborn brand soda. The agave vanilla cream soda and black cherry were not overly sweet, and very enjoyable. We were able to see our pizza dough hand tossed prior to baking. Pizza arrived hot, and fresh in a timely manner. Crust was thin and crispy with no sog or grease on the bottom. Jalapeños were freshly sliced and then baked in the oven. Although I prefer them to be sautéed/caramelized when sliced from fresh, they were still very good. Our only regret is not trying this restaurant earlier. We look forward to returning. Thumbs up.
