I don't remember eating bad food from anywhere. This restaurant has disappointed me in many ways. I ordered for delivery. Crazy expensive for the food that's so flavorless and has no standards. I liked their beverages though. I ordered samosas chat which looked soggy and disgusting, I did give it a try and it didn't taste so good. Just so you know, these are my kind of food and have had a lot of it before. Secondly, my husband always gets tikka masala whenever we order out. This time he was very disappointed too, my husband usually doesn't waste and will eat everything. He literally took a couple of bites and gave up and even the naan that he loves was so bad from here(very thick and flavorless). I also ordered saffron rice, but they couldn't even get the rice right. I grew up eating rice and I could tell this rice had been sitting for days as it was very crispy and tasteless. Ordered 2 Dal and received only 1 which was all water and a few lentils in the bottom(it just looked very unpleasant ). I have no words for how a business like this is still running. This restaurant has disappointed me like no other restaurant. I wonder how hygienic they are, as they didn't show that in the food. All the food was in the garbage after a bite or 2 and I paid $120 with tips. Refer to the pictures I have shown. I shouldn't have believed their fake reviews but okay. I do not recommend this place especially if you have had the same cuisines before because this place will disappoint you.

Everything that I tried on the buffet was great. For me, the highlights were the tandoori chicken, the coconut tomato soup, and the mango pudding. (I've had Tandoori chicken in Little India in Singapore, in Bangkok, in Tokyo, and various places around the US, and what I had on my last visit to Little Nepal was on a par with the best of them.) (If you do the buffet, get there early when there's plenty of everything and the tandoori chicken is moist and juicy; it can dry out a bit sitting in the warmer.). Given the amount and quality of the food, the price is very reasonable. UPDATE: On my most recent visit, the chicken tikka masala wasn't quite as good as I remembered it, but the saag paneer was fabulous and everything else was still great, so I'd still recommend it. And the buffet is definitely the way to go, so that you can find the dishes you will really like. FURTHER UPDATE: Hitting the buffet early is the way to go. Everything was plentiful and fresh. The chicken was so tender and delicious, maybe the best I've ever had here. Everything was absolutely top-notch.

Little Nepal in Colorado Springs is a hidden gem that transports you straight to the Himalayas with its authentic flavors and warm hospitality. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the city, this family-owned restaurant serves up traditional Nepali and Indian dishes that are bursting with flavor. From steaming plates of momo (Nepalese dumplings) to rich, aromatic curries like chicken tikka masala and lamb saag, every bite feels like a celebration of the region’s culinary heritage. The ambiance is welcoming and unpretentious, with colorful decor and soft Nepali music playing in the background. What really sets Little Nepal apart, though, is the kindness of the staff, who are always ready to explain the dishes or recommend their favorites. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Himalayan cuisine or trying it for the first time, Little Nepal is a must-visit for a delicious and soul-warming meal in Colorado Springs.

I feel I need to counter some of their bad reviews. Having grown up with the privilege of eating foods traditionally found in India I can say without any doubt that this place IS the most traditional food you will find without going to India or being invited home for a home cooked meal. I also want to point out that I did a take away order and not only did my food arrive pipping hot but it was carefully wrapped and packed so that nothing would leak, including the iced Chai tea I got, which was rich with cinnamon and ginger flavor as it should be. I also got a couple of vegetable samosas, the lamb biryani and a side of chutney. I want to start with the samosas, they remind me of the punjabi samosas I used to eat, light flaky, full of flavor with just the right amount of coriander and fennel, it was certainly a delight to the senses. The chutney was amazingly fresh and sweet and paired so well with the samosas. The lamb in the biryani was tender and well seasoned, the rice cooked to near perfection. I could definitely tell the level of care that went into preparing each item. For those that gave this place a bad review because you merely walked in and tried the lunch buffet, well you should skip the lunch line next time and order from the menu. You can't expect the freshness and quality from a buffet than you can if you order straight from the menu, that is just common sense right there. All buffets are prepped ahead and left to sit in a warming or chaffing dish until consumed. Also they have to make the food rather neutral tasting because not everyone likes spice. When ordering from a menu you can customize the flavor you get. I would urge those that just tried their buffet and were "underwhelmed" go back and order off the menu, splurge and enjoy what they have to offer. I dropped 50.00 on lunch for two and it was well worth every single penny. I will come here and eat in person for sure now that I know they offer some wonderful...

I've eaten here about 20 times, every time is worse than the last. We used to eat sit down, great service and great food. We transitioned to takeout and the food was still great. FOOD: Recently, the food quality has been noticeably worse than it used to be. For example, the rice is both hard (undercooked) and mushy. The quality of the chicken has also deteriorated. The sauces are bland. The naan went from great to awful, quickly. The naan is a combination of mushy (wet) and dry/hard. I don't think any of these sides are freshly prepared (or even cooked in the restaurant). SERVICE: I can forgive bad food every now and then, but the service is consistently poor. I recognize they are understaffed. It is unfortunate to see one person doing the job of what used to be 3-4 people. The single person doing this job is generally frustrated and it comes across to the Customers. I can spend $20/entree on a lot of places in town, I'm not excited to fork it over when the person on the receiving end is rude. Delivery and pickup are rough. Food is generally ready 25-35 mins after the ETA. I counted 11 drivers/people waiting to pick up food most recently. They then get hammered by the person who ordered the food. There's a disconnect between the front of the house and the kitchen when it comes to technology/order processing. All in all we used to love this spot, but the food quality and service match the other...
