Studio One Salon — Local services in Colorado Springs

I thought a long time before leaving this review, I honestly did not want to leave a bad review because they were so nice to me and the stylist was so sweet, but I have to. I paid $570 (not including the tip) for DARK green hair and layers. (She said she layered my hair but I didn’t really notice any difference) My hair had never been bleached before so this was a first for me. I didn’t have any other colors in my hair before this, it was just a natural brown. Very long story short after my appointment I went home and washed my hair. all of the hair underneath a bright blue and all the hair on top was green. Looked lovely but was not what I paid for so I asked to reschedule and to get it fixed but she wanted to see me first so I went in and she saw all the blue and told me not to worry and that it would turn green if I used the blue dye conditioner she gave me. This made no sense to me but I gave it another week and my blue hair was just turning more and more blue with the blue dye conditioner. So she set me an appointment to have it fixed for free and canceled the night before because she said she got sick. I asked her to reschedule when she felt better and she never did. I finally texted her and asked to reschedule before Christmas (this was about two to three weeks before Christmas) so I wouldn’t have to go home with half a head of blue hair but she said she wouldn’t be able to see me until January. I told her I would have to find someone else to fix my hair before then which would obviously entail me spending more money but she didn’t even offer me a partial refund to help pay the other stylist to fix it. Well, long story short, the other stylist at a different salon did fix it and I had to pay 100$ for that not including the tip. The new stylist told me that it indeed made no sense to use blue dye conditioner to turn my hair more green and also explained to me that when the stylist at studio one bleached my hair she had most likely left the underside foils in way too long and that’s why it turned so blue (bleach your hair yellow and dye it blue and it turns green, but bleach it white and dye it blue and it turns blue). I was told by multiple people to go demand my money back but I have no interest in dealing with the drama and having to act like a “Karen” to probably only get a couple hundred bucks back...

Best salon in town by far! Lindsay is my hubby’s barber and she is FANTASTIC. She is the only one he has seen who really cares about him and what he likes. He trusts her and comes home with a perfect haircut every time. She’s super knowledgeable and kind, and really takes the time to make sure you like everything. She has hot towels for the face and can do waxing as well. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I’ve gotten my hair done several times there and everyone is so wonderful! My hair turns out perfect every time. I want to specifically mention Frankie and Emily have been so helpful, caring, and polite. But everyone there has been a delight to talk with.

The salon isn’t huge, so it doesn’t feel chaotic when you’re inside like some other bigger salons I’ve been to. It’s super clean, they have a coffee machine if you’d like it, and they decorate with local artists who switch out every few months (which I love).

Horrible customer service! Nicole placed a post advertising this business and I responded. I had seen the same stylist for over 20 years, but due to illness, they retired. She recommended Claudia. We had some glitches with the online booking, but Claudia was responsive and got it taken care of. With no warning or phone call, I received a random text this morning saying my appointment was cancelled! I messaged Claudia who responded "I retired". I would have expected a phone call as a courtesy from Nicole to see about rescheduling with another stylist. When I contacted Nicole to tell her how disappointed I was with the customer service, her EXACT response was "it's just hair." Most women realize it can be extremely difficult to find another stylist on short notice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON! I HAVE NEVER BEEN...
