Poor and childish customer service. The staff doesn't even know how to put you on hold, while they overexaggerate to make fun of you to the rest of the staff. I would have honestly been more embarrassed for the girl on the other end of the line, had I not been so confused with the poor and disconnected impression. Not the classiest or most tasteful service I've received on the end of the pizza franchise.
Also, pricey. One large pizza was over $20. I don't even pay that for a huge pizza right out of New York. I know chain pizza companies are all about deals, but wouldn't that have been the cue to mention something? (i.e. 2 mediums for $6.99 each per later looking at their website). Perhaps that would have helped make the sale, but considering the staff doesn't know where the "hold" button is located on the phone...I'm not exactly disconcerted that they didn't know the specials.
I would recommend something like MOD PIZZA instead. They have one set price for each size of salad and pizza, regardless of how many toppings you get (pro tip: they offer over 30 toppings). I paid $10 for an 11" with 9 creative toppings, freshly made to order, with artisan style craftmanship, and was offered a free drink upon arrival.
This location is also one of the only locations that doesn't participate in that nationwide "Marco Mondays" for 50% off pizzas. And with prices like theirs (disregarding any other promos), it probably couldn't hurt. But, that's just my humble...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst time to Marcos pizza. I must say that it sucked. We are always game to try new places and after seeing the Marcos commercials we thought we would give it a try, boy I wish we hadn't. The customer service was horrible. The gal working the front counter had absolutely no clue what she was doing and she was rude. I watched a couple of people pay with cash and she was unable to make correct change as she did not know how to count it back. I realize that her computer was giving her fits but she should know how to make change when they have to do things manually. Their fountain drink dispenser was down yet she kept selling fountain drinks to people and then being disgruntled when they would ask for refund. Our pizza a medium deluxe was terrible, I would compare it to pizza from that kids place CHUCKEE'S but worst for the fact that it had almost zero cheese on it. It did have a few pepperoni's and a little sausage and was topped off after it was cooked with an abundance of oversized RAW green peppers and onions. Our order was placed at 5:56 and we got our pizza at 7:04. Great commercials Marco's lousy pizza and service. Sorry but we...
ย ย ย Read moreOrdered a $200 catering order for our business meeting at this Briargate location. They delivered 2 hours late. We called the first time and were on hold for 48 mins, never answered the phone. Driver just dropped the order and left. Tried to call back for a refund and still can't anyone to answer the phone. We had to go get food somewhere else last minute for our business meeting since they failed to deliver on time and now we will have to fight for our refund. Super poor customer service.
Follow up on my review: The posted reply by Marco's is just a robot reply. We ended up actually going into the Briargate store to complain about bringing our order 2 hours late to a business meeting that was now over. The store only offered an $80 refund that never happened as of 1/9/24 and the email for the district manager. After emailing her twice, she still refused to refund our catering order. This store does not care about their business reputation. I quickly let my colleagues in the space and defense industry know not to waste their corporate dollars on their business orders here. What a...
