Mauricio's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

This used to be my GO to restaurant, I'd tell everyone about this place and go all the time! But absolutely NOT after today! They were SO rude after I had to drive ALL the way back because she "thought" I ordered #13 instead of #14. Which is fine, but when I came back to get it exchanged for the order I'd been WAITING for for almost an hour, and they essentially mocked me for bringing it back, and then tried to make me pay the $2 difference which isn't even listed outside on the ordering menu. So they are scam artists and rude!! I will advise everyone to go to TACO STAR or even TACO BELL from now on! Wish I could give negative stars! This must be the 12th time they've messed up my order! It's not worth it anymore! And their guac is mixed with water but they try to charge you $2 for it! They are just not a good establishment! And they talk in Spanish when they don't like you and expect you to not "notice", FYI it's the modern age and a lot of people can understand/speak Spanish! You guys don't even deserve customers to harass!!! You don't care about the customers you just care about what kinda green you're gonna get! I will never waste my money here again!!!!!! And I will never let my friends waste money here again! DISGUSTED....

Their menu has Flying Saucers and says 2 chicken, beef, or Carnitas for $10.36. I asked what a “Flying Saucer” was from their menu and was told “Flower” despite the poor explanation I still ordered 2 flying saucers @ $10.36 like the menu says. My gf ordered 2 cheese enchiladas with no beans which was listed at $6.42each. I was charged twice for the flying saucers and also for an additional enchiladas meal. Our total was $52 dollars then we were charged an additional $11.34 for the extra enchiladas plate and all was paid in cash. We were straight up ripped off so I took the food back up to the counter and told them I only wanted the drinks and I wanted the money back for the food. No one working understood English well enough to understand that I wanted a refund. After talking to one of the managers using the cell l phone of one of the workers. We were only given $30 back and kept the drinks and enchiladas which we later found out had beans even tho we said “no beans” several times. I do not recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good Mexican cuisine and acceptable customer service.if your order is simple like a taco or burrito or if you speak fluent Spanish, you might get...

I have eaten at many of these types of fast-service Mexican food restaurants in Colorado Springs over the last 10 years since I moved here. Chicken tacos of this variety are my ultimate comfort food and I have come to depend on them for my mental wellbeing! The chicken tacos at Mauricio’s Taco Shop are by far and away the best I have ever had. The shells don’t fall apart. The chicken seasoning is special (want to know the recipe). The salsa is perfect! The restaurant is clean. The service is fast, friendly and courteous. The environment is welcoming and fun. I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but I really wanted the people of Colorado Springs to know how much I appreciate the folks that own and operate Mauricio’s Taco Shop.
