I've decided to change my review. It's been some time and I've had a chance to give this McDonald's a second review. I had a few pleasant experiences recently at this location of McDonald's. These guys have turned it around. The food is better than before, and the time it takes to wait for food isn't that bad either. However, what really got my attention is the service. They now have a whole team of staff ready to take care of what you need. This is a McDonald's that clearly has a great atmosphere amongst the workers and choice leadership. It seems like they care just a bit now. They don't make me feel like they are doing me a favor. They have transitioned into a normal business/consumer relationship and care about the customers who pay and themselves who give the service they are paid for. Keep up the good work. I now recommend this location to anyone. I'm going to continue to leave my previous review just in case you were wondering about my edited review.
This place is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. The overnight manager, dark complexion and thinks he's a gangster, is terrible. You will find him usually taking orders when you pull up to the box overnight. He will never give you a greeting that makes you feel welcome. In fact, the guy's customer service is so bad that I contemplated just leaving, then changed my mind so I can get his name to complain to his DM. I work in customer service and what he was giving me was a far cry from quality service. Not only was the manager rude, but he also has the attitude that he is doing me a favor by being open and serving him, completely forgetting that I'm actually paying in more ways than monetary for him to be there while acting like he is doing me a favor. Then the food took about 9min to get out to me, so of course the nuggets were cold, and they asked me if I wanted sauce, I requested bbq yet no sauce in the bag. Of course the guy didn't even offer me a receipt, although I wouldn't have minded except I needed proof I was there in order to make the complaint. I asked for the receipt and the guy actually rolled his eyes at me. I was calm and respectful during this entire encounter. But I noted everything that transpired. This McDonalds gets an F for poor customer service, rude employee/management, the time it took to get my food 8m37sec, the food being cold, the condiments requested were missing, the straw was missing, and needing to request...
Read moreThis McDonald’s location has to be the busiest location I’ve ever seen in Colorado Springs and I have no idea why because I can’t ever seem to get an order that’s made correctly unless it’s a happy meal. Most of the time I get my child a happy meal and seven times out of ten they seem to get that right. If it’s a happy meal you’re after, don’t worry, they can get that right sometimes. If its anything else then prepare yourself to get very disappointed. I’ve gotten a fry-less meal a few times even though fries come with the meals I’ve ordered. I got shorted a second chicken biscuit today even though I ordered the 2 hot n spicy chicken biscuits for $3. I have ordered numerous iced caramel lattes from this McDonald’s and not once have they ever gotten my latte right. I have even gone there during their slow times and yet still they can’t do what I asked them to do. I always order a large and end up getting a medium. Today I asked for the largest cup size they have. Guess what they gave me? Yep, a medium. I always ask for caramel drizzle to be added into the latte but most of the time it gets left out. They’ve left out the caramel flavoring a few times as well. How does one consider a ‘caramel’ coffee to be caramel if there’s nothing caramel added to the coffee? I’m truly baffled. Here’s another head scratcher, they’re able to add whipped cream to Mcflurries but they can’t seem to add it to lattes. Which puzzles me because whipped cream is an option on the app as well as on the kiosks inside the restaurant. Not only that but there are pictures on the menu with whipped cream just chillin there on the top of quite a few different McCafe drinks!!!! I have asked for whipped cream numerous times but somehow I'm handed a latte minus whipped cream. Every time I order a latte I give SPECIFIC details on what I want and I never get what I’ve asked for. Unfortunately, this is the closest McDonald’s to my house so I don’t have much of a choice when it comes to locations. The McDonald’s by job can whip up a perfect iced caramel latte every time but do I want to drive 30 minutes to another McDonald’s when I want a latte? No, I do not. I shouldn’t have to. Apparently, I either have to stop drinking my beloved iced lattes when I’m at home or happily accept something I’m unsatisfied with while still...

So hey, crew: clean the receipt printer. It's been dirty for about a year and it just needs to be wiped off. Imagine how dirty the rest of this place is when they can't even clean that.
Look at the scrambled eggs they made me wait twelve minutes to get. Do these look fresh to you? Twelve minutes and they're obviously old? Everything was cold, the steak was dried out from being left open on the counter while they figured out how to make a scrambled egg, and then when I ask what's going on the guy turns and walks away.
Customer service doesn't exist here, don't expect any.
So let me first say that the customer service here varies wildly with time of day: the breakfast crew do a mostly acceptable job, the lunch and dinner crew phone it in as hard as possible. They raise the bar in how bad it can get.
Let's talk about my experiences at this location, although there's not a good location I've found anywhere in Colorado Springs. How about the photos I've attached? Notice the cheese isn't melted? That's because the patty was cold. “Fresh” quarter pounder patty was cold, and tge entire sandwich was served cold.
But hey, I actually have McDonald's crew member experience and know that there's a step before setting the product in the hot holding area where the sandwich is microwaved to final temperature. Missed a step, I guess. Also, with a temperature of maybe 50°f the patty was in the danger zone so the food can't possibly be getting held at a safe temperature.
So here's something fun I noticed once as I stood at at the counter waiting about five minutes to buy a drink (I just wanted a drink, only had cash) before someone asked if I had an online order: the person not correctly wearing a uniform, with more than one set of gloves (obvious because of the blue visible along with the clear ones), lazily setting a poorly wrapped McChicken into the hot holding area. Mind you, the reason it was poorly wrapped is because this person couldn't be bothered to set down the iced coffee which would get a casual sip while this person was preparing the food.
I could go on, but there's a limit to how long these reviews are...
