Read moreAn outstanding Packers bar. It's been a long time since I got to watch a game with a bar filled wall to wall with fans of the Green & Gold. As far as the experience goes, I enjoyed watching the game on the 12+ TV's located everywhere, with a bunch of cool people. It is LOUD in here. When the Pack scores, the place explodes. If you miss how it's done in Wisconsin on Sunday, the Packers game experience is 5 star.
The service, on the other hand, is pretty dismal. They are HORRIBLY understaffed. Maybe 3 servers/bartenders running around, in a completely packed bar? Some of the bartenders looked completely miserable. Not sure why, having a slammed bar is the best time to make some money. That is, of course, if you can actually get a drink.
It took me the entirety of halftime to get a beer. I ordered a pitcher because I knew I wouldn't have time to go wait at the bar for the rest of the game.
Tony's if you're reading this, please hire some additional staff, at least for the few hours the Packers game is on. There is no excuse to be so woefully prepared for gameday. I'll be back for more games, but maybe I'll drink before I get there, considering how much hassle it is to get the...
Read moreWhen Tony's was across the street, it was a beautiful place. It was well known for cheese curds. I was there every night for 5+ years of my life. It is now a good stop if it is your first stop, and just want some food... but cheese curds are not on menu. Also, if you are a male, and get the male waiter(not bartender, I feel it would have been different if I went to bar, as I usually do), you will feel an ignorance vs a table of 5 21ish females. I am not mad, but I would bet I would have given a better tip, had longhair dude not had totally blown me off on my birthday party (unannounced). We showed up later, and met friends. We only had a drink or two, went across the street, and enjoyed the night later than we had previously wanted to, because Supernova was soooooo much better! This experience sucks, because I brought everyone there first, and across the street, where they used to be, was the best bar I had ever been in... aaand I could always be elbow-to-elbow, and LOVE having a live DJ on certain days, and I could have friends there aaaaand cheese curds. Now it is just another "spot". A weak spot. I used to...
