This is a 5-star review combined with a -1-star review, I'll explain below: THE GOOD: Since moving to Highlands Ranch we've ordered Cava no less than 2-3 times a week. We love the food, having a healthy, fresh option has been a lifesaver in a suburb with basically no Vegan/Vegetarian places. Other than the occasionally undercooked Lentils, the food is absolutely perfect. THE BAD: In the last few months we've seen the size of the Pitas get slashed and the overall portions cut back significantly. No biggie, but enough to get our attention in a negative way. Tonight was the real problem. At the time this is being typed the website will not only refuse to allow you to place an order for delivery, but placing an order for pickup is also not an option. Undeterred, we drove over to try to place an order in person. We walked in at 7PMish to no less than a 20 person line. Unfortunately, this same line didn't move for another fifteen minutes. During this time another 10-15 people walked into the restaurant, and quickly decided to walk out. After a fair amount of discussion, we had no choice but to leave ourselves. I will always give the benefit of the doubt to high school kids working for minimum wage, but geez - it seemed like they couldn't have cared less about the hour long wait, moving at a snail's pace casually joking around with each other the entire time. I'm not sure what's going on with the website and the logistics, but tonight you took a very disappointing step in the direction that will lose you a 100x orders a year customer. You need to figure out what's going on procedurally immediately, because right now it's totally...
Read moreI used to like this place (Highlands Ranch, CO location), they have good food and are conveniently located down the road for those busy evenings. My experience has changed since they hired a heavy set, middle aged blonde woman in the past few weeks. Every time she is working, I have a bad experience. Did they hire her for her stinginess?
I have no issue with the rest of the staff, they are all lovely. This one heavyset, middle aged blonde woman is ridiculously stingy. Today, she messed up the last step of my order and threw the whole bowl away and personally made it herself. My salad bowl was about half of the size of the size of my husband's bowl, which was made by someone else. Everyone who knows me will tell you I eat lightly, and yet I had to get a snack after dinner because I walked away hungry after that tiny bowl. I honestly don't remember the last place I walked away hungry from until today.
I imagine they'll defend this as "protecting the company from waste". The funny part is that she had to throw away a whole bowl of food because she couldn't follow instructions of "dressing on the side", and then nickel-and-dimed tiny portions of food on the second attempt, presumably to make up for her own mistake.
I used to like this for a quick pick up dinner option, but if this person is the new manager setting the directive, Torchy's is literally next door and I never leave Torchy's hungry. Strongly considering going to Torchy's or Tropical Smoothie any time I see her on shift, she is so awful at her job and single-handedly gives me a bad experience and...
Read moreSo good, I’m pumped this place opened. Cheaper than I thought it would be too since it looked like a fancier menu. I got the greens/rice bowl w/ chicken and a glass tea bottle for about $13? I checked to make sure she charged me for my drink (she did) bc I was expecting it to be more, so that’s a good feeling!
Portion sizes are more akin to chipotle so you could get two meals out of this if you want. Their app looks pretty slick and I’ll likely use this going forward or if you’re on a time crunch...I was in and out quick-ly but if you happen to get behind some first timers in a chipotle/ poke style menu that they are learning, I’m thinking it could feel painful during a lunch break ;). They guide you through it tho if you check them out online!
Torchy’s could help a brother out and share a parking spot or two for a new business during covid ;)
Staff was nice/ I could tell conscientious about spacing.
Besides that, so nice to have a delicious healthy alternative in the area during covid when I start to feel guilty about my Chick-fil-A and Shake Shack consumption. Definitely will be coming back here a lot. While I liked the idea of Zoe’s, I couldn’t get into all the peppers and onions, nor heaviness so gave it two attempts total. I find this flavor profile to hit the spot wayyy better! Will definitely be a regular.
I would be curious to know what oils they use/ quality of meat etc. just in case I could get lazier about cooking...But overall,...
