Taqueria Los Gallitos — Restaurant in Colorado

Yuck! From the moment I walked in the door I should've known to turn around and walk right back out. The place was dirty. Then we got to the counter where the cashier was cutting up cucumbers and then taking orders and handling money. No gloves used here people! The flies kept landing all over them too, which about made me gag. The cashier was very rude as well and I felt like I was begging her to take my order....no customer service whatsoever! I ordered the Carne Asada burrito which was disappointing because it was also stuffed with beans and had some nasty taste to it. Definitely not fresh either. Service is lacking and slow, 6 people working in kitchen only 1 other person ordered ahead of me and still took 25 min to get my food, and I didn't get what I ordered, first they tried to hand me only half my order then gave me completely the wrong food unfortunately I was already home when I found out. After looking at my receipt I was rang up for the wrong item.

The Carne asada tacos are very good, a little pricey but I've seen worse. The Carne asada plate is over priced for what you get, the rice is nasty, beans are OK kinda tasted like rosa rita canned beans. Their regular green sauce taste like it was made with pickle juice.

I come here late at night every now and again so I can't speak for the day staff but the night lady is always very friendly y mui amable. She has some trouble with English but does her best(now that I know I just speak Spanish) . But if you are going to a hole in the wall place like this then you should be looking for real Mexican food and at least be able to order in Spanish. You should also expect the place to be a bit run down.

TLDR The food is good here. But if you aren't someone who eats street food in Mexico off the beaten path with the paisanos then don't come here. Go to the Taco Bell on the next block unless you feel like broadening...
