Kona Hawaiian BBQ- Pecos — Restaurant in Colorado

Do you guys have a policy if when someone doesn't pick a doordash order within an hour, you'll deem it unsafe to give to the customer? I've been a frequent customer and for the 1st time I've had an issue with a pickup. I wasn't able to come and pick up my order right away since I was stuck in traffic. I got there at the hour mark after I ordered through doordash and I was told by the worker at the counter that the order had already been picked up and they showed her the doordash order on their phone. It was really hard to believe that, if that were the case we would've recieved a code from a text message that someone was trying to log in when it was supposedly picked up. Whatever happened, We ordered the same items again because we really wanted the food. When I brought it back home (3 minutes away), the breading was soggy on the shrimp that was on top of the package, meaning the order had sat there for the amount of time I came to intially pick it up. I'm wondering why couldn't the worker be up front and not lie about the order already being picked up? If the food was deemed as unsafe to eat, why could they tell me that? Also if the food was deemed unsafe to eat, why would they repackage the entire order instead of giving us a newly made food. So the worker lied, wasted my time, and gave me back the same food I initially ordered. Really like the food and the chefs do a great job, but I do not appreciate having my time wasted, being lied to, and basically jipped. I really liked the food that's why we bought it again, but for the worker to lie and then give us the same exact items that were "already pick up" is jacked up on a whole...

I don't know where these people are from (Haoles).... The prices are in line for Hawaiian BBQ places here on the mainland... I'm from Hawaii! If anyone can tell you what REAL plate lunches have, the quality, and quantity, I'm your guy!! Yeah, it's $2.00 more here for a mixed plate, but they didn't charge me extra for two scoops of macaroni salad! That being said, the kalbi ribs are so tender I thought I made them, same with the chicken and beef! The Mac salad is spot on, just right for a LOCAL boy! The Thai ice tea is great (I order it without ice)... First girl was cool. Second girl, seemed to have read off the wrong name on the order. When so said the name, she looked confused, then I said grubhub…then she says before handing me the order, “can you confirm”?

Oh so dumb…I don’t have a confirm button, only a “got order” slide option that I shouldn’t be doing IF YOU WON’T HAND ME THE ORDER!!!!

Response to the owner: I understand that may be your store policy but you’re not understanding what I’m saying. My next option as a grubhub order is “Got Order” followed by “Leaving”. So, If I don’t have an order in my hand, I don’t have the order and therefore should not slide the “got order” option.
