El Gordo Taqueria — Restaurant in Westminster

Update: 03/23/2025 We decided on a whim to give them another try. I must say this go around they did good. The food was good, everything was there, they gave us plenty of veggies and salsas too. The ladies were very nice and courteous. It's been hit and miss, but it's getting better.

Original Review 5 months ago: We used to come to this place often. I typically would order the buche or the al pastor. We've had several bad experiences recently from wrong food items, missing items, or incorrect price. This last time we spent almost $200 on food. I ordered 3 bean and cheese burritos, they gave me 3 sides of beans and cheese for the price of the burritos, I ordered two smothered burritos got charged an additional $2.88 for the smother and they were handheld (I did ask for one to have the chili on the side, also asked for no onion on one and it was loaded with onion), I ordered an order of buche tacos with crispy meat and it was burnt. Very disappointed, literally the only thing we were ok with was the two orders of asada tacos and the drinks. This will more than likely be the last time we go here which is a shame because we usually spend more than $100 on...

Good food, I enjoyed their tacos and burritos! Delicious, I have been here over 10 times and they only messed up my orders once. The big let down are their very rude customer's, a couple of rude & nasty Mexican couples made my children, my friend & myself feel very uncomfortable with their rude comments. Another time I went a drunk White man got in a fight and got knocked out and arrested; all in front of my 3 young children. I have lived in this area for over 30 years and it's sad to see the sick people to ruin and run down the community. And not to mention ruin my meal and my children's innocence. Food is good but uncomfortable...

I haven't been here since before covid-19 and to be honest I was expecting BETTER... I try to place my order by phone and the cashier let me hanging for over 20 minutes, then I drive to order my tacos in person while still waiting to get service at the phone... ones I got there the girl at cashier didn't even bother when I told her to check her phone since I was still on the call... and to end this when I got home with my order it was made wrong they give me all the same when I order diferent tacos for me and my wife, they just don't pay attention to it or don't even care for their...
