First time customer; found my self with an hour for lunch between appointments nearby, and was looking for something healthy, inexpensive, and quick. China Chef was a perfect fit. Their lunch special was around 6 dollars total, and came with soup, rice with vegetables, and a generous portion of main dish. I ordered wonton soup and beef lo mein, and they were delicious. I didn't even touch the rice because after the soup and 1/3 of the lo mein I was stuffed, with plenty of time still to reach my appointment. The flavors were good, met my expectations, and the veggies crisp. The location was clean, well organized and efficient. There were comfortable seating in booths and two large tables with chairs, but it's obvious the majority of their business is take out or delivery. The staff was polite and and my order was made from scratch and ready in less than ten minutes. For the price, the volume, and the taste it was a win.

ordered takeout from china chef and was surprised by how they had the lunch special even on a weekend! we ordered the kung pao chicken and springfield style cashew chicken (fried chicken with an american style gravy). the main portions were extremely generous and the fried chicken was still crunchy despite it being takeout. the food was a little on the salty side, as it usually is, but we enjoyed it. our lunch special came with a crab rangoon and hot and sour soup, and we liked our sides. the crab rangoon was bursting with cream cheese and was delicious. hot and sour soup was exactly what it said it would be - hot, sour and very good!

We tried China Chef at lunch on Saturday. There were a few people carrying out, but none dining there. Food was prompt and service was good. Got the orange chicken and cashew chicken lunches ($5.50). They come with a soup or 1 crab rangoon. The overall entree was bland, rice was below average, the rangoon was good and crispy, and the egg drop soup was thankfully not salty like most. Overall, Panda Express across the parking lot is an overall better experience. One other comment is the drinks are from a cooler so we chose to not eat there because of that solely.

My family and I have eaten here and ordered takeout several times, it's our go-to Chinese restaurant. We love the food, and have never had a bad meal. It's your typical strip mall Chinese place. Delicious food that makes up for the dingy, shabby decor. One could say that that is actually part of the experience, it's traditional.

The only "bad" experience I have ever had here was on Christmas Day. I placed an order online for pickup around 6 pm. I showed up at the restaurant at my estimated time, and the place was packed. Customers filled the tables, booths and stood waiting. The phone was ringing off the hook and employees were working furiously to cook and fill myriad food orders.

It ultimately took two hours to get my food. I admit to feeling impatient and annoyed when I asked three times for an update on my order, to only receive a head shake and ultimately be told, on round three that my order hadn't even been started yet.

I didn't go full Karen because...well I'm not that kind of person. The employees were working at double speed to churn out food as quickly as possible, and online orders seem to be just relentless.

I'm wondering if there is no way to stop them? In the restaurant, the person at the desk had to inform callers and walk-ins that they were no longer accepting orders. She then resorted to picking up the receiver and setting it down again to save time. But the pile of online orders grew and grew, hence my two hours wait.

Since my card had been charged, I chose to wait, and ate my delicious food very late in the evening. Next year I'll have to plan my Christmas Day Chinese Food Siege more carefully, perhaps ordering three hours before I would...

I'm a truck driver and eat Chinese food EVERYWHERE and this is the BEST I have found by far. I ate in and watched them my every order fresh. It was amazing. I had never had a freshly fried egg roll before today it is a whole different animal. The hot and sour soup was not only amazing, hot, and sour but it also had a lot of ingredients. Chicken, bamboo shoots, a good amount of egg, and also some thinly sliced mushrooms that were not regular white mushrooms. Effing amazing.

The Mongolian beef was fresh and had fresh vegetables in it not overly soft. I mean absolutely amazing! You people who live here are some lucky SOBS. I really wish I could have tried more of the food but I'm only one fatty. But I did get a large order of hot and sour soup to go, I've got to have this...
