ive been shopping here for years and usually a really good experience. But i went here this past saturday around 4pm waited in line to be helped there were 2 employees working i was behind a women and the other cashier was helping another couple and there was a guy waiting after them. two guys came in a few minutes after me and when the guy cashier was finished helping the women in front of me the cashier yelled out i can help whoever is next and the two guys that came after me and waited in line after me just jumped right in front of me to the counter i told the cashier i was waiting in line first and he talked to me like i was wrong or something .even tho i was before the 2 guys. so i told him what game i wanted to buy and the way he was talking felt like he didnt want to serve me so i will not be coming back. lost a customer here when i literally spend thousands of dollars at this store each year for games and other products. never apologize to me but he apologize to the other guys even tho he jumped...
   Read moreI normally shop here and the customer service is adequate. However today, two employees, Caucasian girl with multiple piercings and an African American man with dredlocks were working. Both were checking in a large order of used items from a single customer while 4 other customers stood in line. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, I asked (given that there were two employees and two functioning registers) if they could split their task momentarily and check out the waiting customers. I was met with hostility from the employees and informed that the other customers had been waiting 2 HOURS, and it wouldn't be fair to check out anyone. From the verbal reports of other customers in line, apparently they indeed had not proceceed any other transaction in 2 Hours!!!!! I work in retail as well.    Read moreThe customer service at this location is lackluster at best. Employees will give you sighs and attitude for requesting help. They are there only to collect a paycheck, not actually help customers, or do real work, like help customers. I can't imagine stocking is difficult with the low amount of foot traffic here. Two GameStop's in Columbia is 1 too many. This one could close and no one would know any better... Except the employees who refuse to help customers, like at this GameStop.
