I went in to get 2 bigger plates of noodles and orange chicken. Upon entering the restaurant, the gentleman serving the drive-through repeatedly put his gloved hand on his nose and face. then he proceeded to handle more food, contaminating the food handles. I asked one worker if he could replace the contaminated handles, and he did so and brought new ones with his now dirty glove, I asked if someone else could help me and a second worker helped me, I preceeded ro explain the situation and asked if she could get clean handles and then serve my food. she did the same thing as the first one. now with dirty gloves , the kitchen was loud, so I had to raise my voice to a strong conversational tone, and this lady behind me said, "Could you lower your voice in a heated tone." I said ma'am let me explain something to you it will take 2 seconds. " she replied hateful and now yelling "don't you disrespect me like this...".( continued) about how I was being disrespectful to her now because I asked her for 2 seconds to explain that I was a Wartime service connected disabled veteran and I had partial hearing loss and that the kitchen was loud and I couldn't hear very well. so much for human kindness, mother of 3 children and her husband. I turned to him in a calm manner and said ill explain this to you since she is being hysterical" then I asked the manager to help me so I explained the situation about snot on all the food serving handles she touches a handle says I'm here to help you I understand you. then proceeds to use a now dirty glove to get my food container .... I stopped her and said no I'm done trying."I just wanted clean gloves to touch the clean food, serving handles and my food container. 3 times, and even after she confirmed, she knows how to serve with clean items. and still gets it contaminated. this is very disgusting to have that one drivethrough guy get is sweaty snot all over the place and not one single employee know that a glove touching dirty things gets everything else dirty too. Step 1: With dirty glove hands, grab all food handled you touched and remove from the line. Step 2: Go wash hands and change to clean gloves. Step 3: serves clean food with new clean handles and food containers. Simple as 1,2,3, you would think. the manager is in black attire. I wasn't even that loud, barely above a conversational tone with the loud kitchen behind the serving line. the lady who yelled at me could be sued over emotional distress, discrimination of a person's with disabilities, Audism, and bullying. I'm not that petty, but I'm just putting that knowledge out there, FYI. if she reads this later. please be more kind...
Read moreStopped in to grab some lunch and had one guy working counter one girl was working the drive-thru and Taylor was cleaning off the counters I noticed she was putting the food that fell onto the counters back into the containers that they came out of specifically the sesame chicken I didn't think too much about it except that it would have left its container not sure how long. she was keeping the countertops clean but in the process I noticed that she was scratching her eyes and her face right over top the food and then she dropped the cleaning rag onto the floor...well you would think a normal food safety trained person would take that cleaning rag and put it in a dirty container but that's not what happened Taylor decided that it would be better to pick up the rag off the floor and by the way all the food particles that was coming off of the counter was being swept onto the floor not in any type of container so she picks up the dirty rag and continues to wipe off all around the food bowls at the main serving line where the rice chicken greens and noodles are. I said Taylor do you really think that's appropriate she looked at me with kind of a deer in the headlight look I said you literally just dropped the rag onto the floor you picked it up off the floor and now you're wiping down the food area I don't think that's a good idea. She didn't say anything just turned around put the rag in a receptacle and went over to the drive-thru area and tried to look busy. I don't know about you or anybody else on this planet but I don't think that dropping rags onto the floor and then using them to clean off food serving surfaces would pass any kind of health inspection standard. you be the judge. This happened at 1:00...
Read moreI tried to call the Broadway and 63 location after going through the drive-through. I couldn’t get through so I will leave the review and hope a manager sees it. I love this place and I’ve never had a poor experience until today. The food is excellent, no problem there. My problem today is with the woman working the drive-through. It was Tuesday 10/18/22 at 1:30pm. She talked super fast and tried to rush me through my order. When I got to the window I asked her to tell me what my main dish was. I was certain she did not hear me say beyond orange chicken, since she was rushing me and talking over me while I ordered. She looked at me and and a look of disgust came over her face, as I asked the question. To my surprise, she had understood me to say beyond orange chicken. Great. Then she handed me my bag and says can you hold on please. I say yes and I sit and wait because I haven’t received my drink yet. Then she comes back to the window and just looks at me with that same look again, and I ask “can I have my drink? It was a Coke Zero.” She gives me a look of disbelief and turns around to make me a drink. So instead of saying thank you and sending me off, she had actually said nothing to me, and was talking to the next customer over the speaker when she asked “can you hold on please?”
I think this whole experience could’ve been better If she had slowed down and was more patient while taking my order through the drive-through. And it’s always a good idea to repeat the order before telling me to come to the window. Saying thank you, being friendly and smiling would be a nice touch too.
Hoping for a better...
