We ordered delivery this past weekend from the Pickleman's on E. Broadway. Normally we visit the W. Broadway store (at least every other week) but the E. Broadway store is closer to our home; so, that is where we had to order from. We ordered $50 of food. When the food was delivered there were two bags. We started unloading and noticed that all our food was not included. There was no au jus for either of the Italian Beefs and one was ordered with extra: missing 3 au jus. There was no sandwich for the pick two (salad/sandwich): missing sandwich. The salad was ordered with no dressing as my daughter doesn't like dressing. There was dressing placed in the sealed salad bowl that spilled out; cannot eat salad. My husband called the store and Jenny answered. He explained the situation and her first response was, "I don't know what to do for you." He said that he wanted what he ordered. She then proceeded to tell him that she could send the au jus and sandwich back out. We told her that by the time the au jus got to our house that the sandwich the au jus goes with would be cold and soggy. She told us that she wouldn't replace the sandwich because we had already received them. My husband asked for a manager. She stated that she was the manager. My husband again tried to explain to her that the sandwich wasn't delivered complete. It would be like ordering a pepperoni pizza and it was delivered without the pepperoni and to make it right, just the pepperoni was sent out. She said that there was nothing that she could do. My husband proceeded to tell her that he wanted the General Manager's name/phone number. At first she did not oblige; telling my husband that the GM would tell him the same thing. She stated that he could bring the food back into the store and she would remake the sandwiches. (there was a reason we ordered delivery - we didn't want to go anywhere!) Finally she gave the name and number for the GM to my husband, which he called. The only saving grace in this whole experience is that the GM answered (while out with his family) and informed us that he would be refunding us for the total amount. Unfortunately, my daughter was still without a sandwich and a salad! And us without au jus. I will not go back to the E. Broadway store and will continue to frequent the W. Broadway store. That was some of the worst customer service we have ever experienced. We are both of management backgrounds (managing businesses with 100+ and 800+ Employees) and there is no way that we would ever hire someone with as little skills as Jenny.
8/28/17 We reached out and emailed as requested. However, no contact has been made as stated by Pickleman's. Extremely...
Read moreOn a lively Thursday night/morning. I stopped into this local location of pickleman's located less than a fee blocks from a major university. It was packed with happy hu gry customers including myself. At first glance it seemed hectic but but the restaurant's team management was stellar given the time and task.
At the beginiing for the food line (where orders are placed) My Pickleman's sandwich specialist was Dolton. Only 18 years and recently hired, he showed great composure while maneuvering the diversity of the crowd. With a smile on his face he efficiently took orders from the lively crowd including special order of running my sandwich through the toaster with spinach already on it. He is planning to become a pro skate boarder and and sandwich maker.
Once through the toaster I moved along the food prep line where I didn't even have to tell the following sandwich maker my toppings because he already had the predetermined toppings memorized and asked if that is what was preferred.
And at the end of the line the cashier and team lead Jay who was also recently hired (I know because the last time I came it was his first day) was making sure sandwiches were getting to their proper owners.
Jay demonstrated extraordinary patience while helping different groups of tipsy college students worked yhtough payment arrangements and third party delivery drivers barked requests at him KUDOS JAY!!!
Great job picklemans
Pricing: fair my favorite deal is the pick 2 special Picklemans makes great soups.
Environment: while slightly hectic the efficient work of the team was able to make the process quick and...
Read moreI worked here for five months. I worked very hard for this place and ran into a little trouble at home and ended up having to move. I was paid less than every other manager and i worked twice as hard as any other person in that store I guarantee it. I kept everyone in the store informed honestly of everything that Bes going on in my life and when called and asked the regional manager Roland Chacon if I could have a reference and he flat out refused. I gave these folks sometimes 69 hours a week, most days closing the store at 3 a.m. and them scheduling me to be back at 11am! And then come back at 8;00 pm till close! I gave my whole life to that job and they refuse to give me the recognition I deserve. Also they never clean under the tables so there is disgusting chicken and meatballs and cheese and all kinds of other things underneath the tables and the last time I decided to clean behind one I literally threw up from the look and smell of the pool of rotting, molding disgusting food that had clearly been there for months. I would not recommend eating here it is highly over priced and it is extremely unclean behind the scenes. If you don't believe me go in the store and ask to see behind the hot table before you eat here I promise you will never come back. I hope this saves some of you from getting sick from some horrible food borne virus sometime in the future. There are so many places in Columbia that have cleaner environments and better food for a cheaper price. Make the...
