⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Update to my review from last year:
My boss remains generous enough to bring in a mix of goodies from B.A.D. Bakery in Columbia, TN to our office just up the road in Franklin—and I’m still not resisting them (though my waistline sure is).
Here’s the latest lineup, and trust me—it’s worth every crumb:
Plain Glazed – light, fluffy, fried in tallow, and finished with a glossy vanilla glaze; classic, melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Maple Glazed – soft, pillowy, and topped with a smooth, comforting maple glaze—a donut and breakfast treat in one.
Donut Bites – tiny but bold, these yeast-raised morsels are fried to perfection and tossed in their signature cardamom sugar. Dangerously addictive.
Big BAD Assorted Dozen – the ultimate variety box: cake donuts, old-fashioned, fritters, cardamom sugar, chocolate glazed, lemon glazed, and plain glazed. A box of joy for the indecisive (or just very hungry).
Oatmeal Cookie – two soft, chewy oatmeal cookies loaded with hearty oats and warm spices, sandwiched around a swirl of homemade vanilla frosting. Old-school, over-the-top, and absolutely irresistible…when in stock.
Every treat from B.A.D. feels like a happiness investment. Diets? Those are for tomorrow. These are the cheat-day legends.
If you're anywhere near Columbia—or up in Franklin shopping—do yourself (and maybe not your pants) a favor: swing by B.A.D. Bakery. Their donuts, bites, and yes—even that oatmeal cookie—are worth every extra...
Read moreI thought that this place would only have donuts and sweet treats but was presently surprised to find they have full breakfast and lunch options too! It's the perfect little brunch place. If you are feeling adventurous, I highly recommend the smash burger sliders. They are burgers with donuts for buns! I've been several times since the opening and some of my favorite items are the frozen hot chocolate, cheese Danish, fruit Danish, hangover breakfast and the smash burger sliders. When I am wanting to be a little healthier BAD Bakery's keto donut is seriously the best one around. It may seem pricy at first, but the donut comes with whipped cream and berries! You seriously can't go wrong with anything there! I've seen some negative reviews on here which talk about the price. The price seems high only if you are looking at it like other large donut franchises. For a boutique, locally owned breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant, it's fairly priced. The owner (woman with curly red hair) is very hands on and super nice! I've talked to her a couple of times and found out she has a culinary degree as a pastry chef, which shows in how delicious...
Read moreWant to love this place but think it’s over priced with a not so inviting atmosphere. The donuts taste good, but not blow you out the water for $7+ each. I had asked about the loaf cakes (to the red headed woman behind the counter today on June 22) and was told it was strudel, whenever I asked if it had cinnamon in it, she rolled her eyes and said it was a strudel. Not sure if she having a hard time as there was a long line of people but it made me immediately feel uncomfortable and bad vibes. As a pregnant woman with a toddler, the friendliness of the staff is really important to me, based off that alone I wouldn’t try this place again. We ended up sitting at a dirty table, as did others around us as there was long lines the staff didn’t have time to clean them between guests. The overall taste of the donuts was good, creative toppings and unique shape of their donut. Based off the donut alone, I would give this place a second chance. Again, this is a hard review to write as I had such high hopes for this place. I asked my husband for his opinion and he said “overrated for the price” and...
