“Hey, I think I need to pick up something from a store on the square. Oh look, ice cream, let’s stop by again.”
Sometimes, I find myself making up reasons to go to downtown just so I can make an excuse to stop in for an ice cream cone from Hattie Jane’s.
In-season flavors, deliciously churned ice cream, massive single scoops when asking for a waffle cone, it has all the elements of a delicious date.
The staff are friendly and quick. The samples are plentiful, and the napkins are popping up at ever table (much needed with big and little kids).
Don’t you need to pick up something in downtown? Find your excuse now to run down and grab a cone of cotton candy or candy bar.

All good excuses to grab your next cone....

As others have mentioned, their waffle cones really are the best! (vegan options available too) And despite what I've read in some other reviews, (not calling anyone a liar here, just sharing our experience) in our dozen or so visits since moving here a few yrs ago, we've never had a negative experience dealing with the employees; Indeed, most of the time they're very pleasant. This gem is definitely one of the highlights of visiting...

The shop is conveniently located on the square with ample indoor dining space and 2-3 outdoor tables available. The shop was clean and bright. The cute window stools offer a chance to watch people strolling by while enjoying your treat. While the 2 young workers weren’t overly welcoming, they took our order efficiently and even provided a pup cup when asked. Our total was as a bit over $14 for 2 scoops + the pupper, a bit pricey, but the experience and outdoor atmosphere made it a nice stop on our adventure. The ice cream did not disappoint. We will...
