My daughter wanted to go in to your store and was so excited seeing all of the different selections. I picked up multiple things that didn't have a price neither under it or on it which was a little frustrating. The guy working said I could bring him each item to scan which okay, sure. Then she chose a giant gummy snake. I helped her get it off of the peg on the wall which said that all of those giant gummies were $15.95. She takes it to the register and of course it comes up as a different price. I then showed it to him which that price was literally right under the gummy snake and he said "Oh, that must be the price for the gummy bears." Well sir, the sign is literally directly under the gummy snake. So he proceeds to show me another location in the store that had the gummy snake with its correct price. That is not where we got it so that is irrelevant to me. Either way, my daughter used her own chore money to purchase it and she couldn't contain her excitement so as we were on our way home (30 min drive) and I let her open it to take a couple bites and most of the snake was hard. If I had the time to turn around and go back I would have. All around a bad experience and we will not be shopping here again. Majority of the items IMO are over priced and apparently are not fresh. Disappointing and now I have an upset 9 yr old daughter when it was supposed to be a fun...
Read morePurchased the refillable mason jar, with the expectation that the price would be $5 to refill, and so it was.....until it wasn't. You pay $15 for a small jar, with the agreement it will only be $5 to refill it, only to be lied to. "oh it WAS $5, but NOW it's $8". Imagine having to explain to your 7 year old that they'll have to save a little longer because they have been the victim of a bait and switch. 7 Year olds do not understand the idea of a bait and switch. They are innocent, and have not yet become a casualty of corporate greed. Well, mine was, until today!!
Super disappointing that the price was changed. I know it's not a lot of money, but it's the principal that counts. My family truly looked forward to refilling the jar, but moving forward, it will probably just sit in our cabinet, maybe being used as a cup ever so often. I've looked, and I know we're not the only people upset by this. Get your act together. Bad form...
Read moreIt's tough to walk into this place and not buy something. Definitely not a health food store, perhaps it should be called "happiness food" instead. Candy treats from all around the world, plus the old classics us older folks grew up with. A trip here can become a walk down memory lane. In addition to the candy and confections, there are cooler cases with lots of different sodas, colas, pop, all the stuff rarely seen anymore in the supermarket aisle. The real stars of the show are the truffles and other sweets behind the glass counter. Dozens of flavors, all to die for. Something for everyone. Note that Lolli and Pops is not cheap. There might be a bit of sticker shock for some, but to be honest, it's not unreasonable given the quality of the goods sold here. In my case, the prices make a lot of the delights an occasional treat, not something to hoard up and gorge on. Keeps it special, and keeps me...
