Gong cha Columbia Mall — Restaurant in Columbia

Every time I go to this location, it seems the staff are unwilling to assist customers and go out of their way to make the drinks terrible. My little sister went to the mall with her friends and didn't know how to use the self-order machine, so she asked one of the two workers for help. One worker told her to use the machine and walked away immediately. She tried to explain that she needed assistance, and the workers looked at each other, laughed, and then one finally came to help. Both her drink and mine were absolutely terrible. There was no flavor in the brown sugar milk tea, which is surprising given the nature of the drink. I have had the exact same experience ordering at this location myself so this wasn’t surprising.

While I understand that the machine is there for convenience, it doesn’t change the fact that it is still their job to assist customers when asked. The time it takes to input an order in the self-service machine is about the same as if they did it themselves. I'm not sure what conversation they were having that was so important they couldn’t take 15 seconds to help...

I asked for Dirty Brown Sugar Latte and the female cashier was busy doing her make up not even said hi hello or any greetings. I always come here, other cashiers are nice and friendly. But this one with make up lady had me my latte just leave on the counter without calling my order number. And after only three sips my latte is over lol!! Then I noticed the latte is with full of ice. This was my favorite Gong Cha location...

Absolutely love this place! Gong Cha at Columbia Mall is always a go-to for the perfect bubble tea fix. The drinks are consistently fresh, flavorful, and made just right every time. The staff is friendly, quick, and always gets the order correct. Whether it’s classic milk tea or a fruity refreshment, everything hits the spot. Clean space, good vibes, and amazing boba....
