There are other restaurants too, please choose this if you want good food NOT good treatment or NO pease of mind and BAD hosting place and WORST behavior of owner/Manager.
We liked the food on 1st time, that’s why we went with my friends and family. We went for Buffet and as usual lot of items.
I/ we encountered very bad experiences on that day.
This is an example of very bad management of food by restaurant As a first step we went to get some soup. I see it as vegetable soup on the tag or name plate. So we all got it to our table. I just took a sip of it and realized it’s a non veg or chicken soup. I went and asked how can you do this, staff said it’s veg only and I asked to check again, they came back and said it’s a no veg one. They didn’t even said sorry or apologies for what happened. As a pure vegetarian I have some other concerns on this and will talk to legal team of food or restaurants management if any in Maryland. I have collected video and phot proofs of their mistakes they did to soup placement and naming it.
Another one is We are eating the regular buffet items and ask for dosa and waiting for them to proceed to main course. Almost 20 min, no dosa and up on asking multiple times, they took additional 10 min and helped us with dosa. Very very very late serving.
This is an example of worst management/ Manager/ Owner. Little aged person came and asked how is the food. We think he is owner. Actually food is average that day and we don’t want to say it’s average hence we said it’s good. In a sarcastic way he asked, why you left food then? We just smiled and said nothing. Again he said, if chefs see this wastage they feel bad. Do you know how they feel if they sees this and if it is your place you do the same etc etc etc… said so many things on the wastage. We invited close family and friends and they got surprised with his behavior. I know even we are paying money we shouldn’t waste. But we went with all friends, family and kids. I can control my family, but i can’t control all of my Family/friends .
I couldn’t resist myself and said when compared to the non veg soup mistake you did, our wastage is very less or minor. Then no control to his mouth. No owner would have behaved like this. Trust me we all lost interest to eat further. We just paid the bill and came out and i didn’t even check whether he charged correctly or not. They charged wrong and bit of huge charges. That’s okay with me because, Money can be earned at any point of time but not respect.
Finally I would say there are good restaurants apart from this. Please avoid this if you want to be...
Read moreFirst time trying out their Sunday brunch menu and had heard a lot of positive things. I've been to about 3-4 different Indian buffets in and around Baltimore city, and so was excited to see what they had to offer.
The restaurant is spacious and well decorated. Staff are polite and kind. We got a great table near the window which overlooks a small lake which was lovely. The place filled up by 12:30 and was pretty packed.
I started off by trying the masala chai. This is a personal preference, but I do enjoy a nice strong masala chai, and theirs was lighter than what I'm used to. Then tried the masala dosa which is brought to your table. I am south indian by ethinicity so will say that I have high expectations for dosas :) the batter was well done, but the potato filling was extremely bland and was barely seasoned in my opinion. The sambar was okay but I did like that there were a lot of vegetable pieces in the sambar. They have a red tomato based chutney that goes well with it.
The chana bhatura was very mediocre. The chana was interestingly flavoured, again not what I was used to. The bhatura itself was pretty good. I then tried the daal dish that was on offer, one that I was not familiar with so hard to comment on its authenticity. The naan was cold, stale and bland (no butter, garlic, coriander etc). The chilli chicken had more fried batter than actual chicken and was not spicy at all. The only dishes that were well done were the goan fish curry and butter chicken. For rice options you had plain basmati and a vegetable fried rice which was just ok.
Unfortunately near the end of my meal I also found a short piece of hair in my curry.
Overall, not what I came in expecting. Although there are a lot of dishes on offer, very few of them actually taste authentic...
Read moreAVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!!!
I've been to a lot of bad restaurants in my life, but this one takes the cake. The service was horrible, the food was even worse, and I got so sick after eating it. The waiter was extremely rude. Some of the food we received was undercooked and raw. Specifically speaking, the bihari kabob, which was in no way a bihari kabob (we were shocked at what they're version of it was), and the chicken momo were not cooked properly. Some of the dishes had maybe 3 or 4 small peices of chicken but otherwise was just huge pieces of onions (for the price they charged, we were again shocked), and we got 3 seperate chicken dishes but all 3 tasted EXACTLY THE SAME (NO JOKE). We tried to flag down the waiter and owner when they came (there was an issue with another dish that they did fix) but we got ignored (we were 11 people and they were on the opposite end of the table). Finally I went to the front bar to speak with the owner and he was zero help. Instead, he tried to justify their mistakes and when a phone order was coming in and a delivery pick up was there, he walked away and tried to ignore us. I understand it got busy, but if a customer has a complaint and you're short staffed, just request us to wait a moment while you take care of it INSTEAD OF AVOIDING US (LIKE WE WILL ALL DO FROM NOW ON). Simple. We ended up paying for everything (including the inedible food). Later, I ended up with food poisoning. The restaurant might try to comment on this, but you weren't helpful in person so don't pretend to be online. With how things went down, I also wouldn't be surprised if they bought some of their reviews. I'm telling you: AVOID,...
